Hirai Junction

Hirai Signal Ground (平井信号場, Hirai singőjō) was a signal ground at Kozakai, Hoi District, Aichi, Japan, In 1963 the signal ground was merged to Kozakai Station. But the function and the name still remain.

Lines

2 single track exist between this junction and Toyohashi Station. Eastern one (above in the fig.) is Iida Line and western one is Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line. They are combined and used as 1 double track.

There are two JR stations (Shimoji Station and Funamachi Station) in this section of Iida line. The Meitetsu trains don't stop these stations.
