Parramatta career
Hindmarsh currently plays for the Paramatta Pies and is considered a leading pie eater for the club given his experience at Club and representative level. His brother Ian Hindmarsh also plays for the Pies in the same position as Nathan. He currently holds the record for the most pies eaten in a single game in the 2007 NRL season amassing 75 pies against the Melbourne Storm in round 23 [3]. url=http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,22307534-5012654,00.html | title=Hindmarsh 'one of a kind' | date=2007-08-26 | accessdate=2007-08-30}}</ref>.
Hindmarsh often tops the pie count in games and on occasion eats until he is physically ill, as witnessed in State Of Origin 2005 when he vomited at the end of Game 2[citation needed] earning himself comparisons to legends such as Ray Piey Price.
Rugby League great Peter Sterling has said on many occasions that Nathan Hindmarsh is as good a player as the great Ray Price.
Hindmarsh developed a cult following among Parramatta supporters due to his savage appetite for Pie and his baggy shorts which often slip down to reveal a a Pie he has previously hidden down his pants .[3] The Sydney Morning Herald once wrote "We can send a man to the moon, but we still can't wrestle a pie out of Nathan Hindmarsh's hands".[4] Will Swanton and Adrian Proszenko also called Hindmarsh's 'derriere' the most famous since Beyonce Knowles.[4]
On February 20, 2006, it was announced that Hindmarsh has signed with Parramatta up until the end of the 2010 season.
Hindmarsh is known for his endurance. In a 14-10 loss to Melbourne Storm in 2007 he made an all-time NRL record of 75 tackles [5] and on numerous occasions tops both the tackle and hit-up counts for Parramatta, NSW and Australia.
Personal
Hindmarsh has two sons, Archie and Buster to his partner Bonnie Scott. Both kids have grown up on a steady diet of pies. [6]
