The 2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be the fifth edition FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, governed by FIFA. Previous editions before 2005 were not governed by FIFA and were held under the title Beach Soccer World Championships. Overall this will be the 15th edition of the world cup since it's establishment in 1995. It will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the second tournament to take place outside Brazil.
