Warning about possibly incorrect original research

Hi there. Please do not delete this message! This is very important, as multiple users have expressed concerns about your edits, and if you continue to ignore those concerns you could wind up getting blocked. We are not nearly to that point yet, but it is critical that you engage us in dialog so that we can come to an understanding.

Another user, NE2 (talk · contribs), said here that he felt you were confused about the renaming of NY route numbers beginning with a 4. He expressed a concern that you had engaged in original research, which is prohibited by Wikipedia policies regarding WP:No original research and WP:Verifiability. In addition, he thought your original research might also be mistaken.

Please respond at the relevant section here, so that we can start to come to an understanding. Thanks! --Jaysweet (talk) 19:58, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of State Routes in New York. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. SarekOfVulcan (talk) 21:12, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
