I found the image at [1] ... it is an AP photo and I have thus tagged it with {{db-copyvio}}. --BigDT 01:24, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the Review Portal:United States Navy

  • Thanks for your review. and I promise im not trying to be rude but, Those colors actually are US Navy Colors according the the US Navy Fact File on Graphics & Colors The colors are BLUE PMS 275 which translates to RBG=#25185d that is the color of the section headers, GOLD PMS 125 which translates to RGB=#bc8d00 that is the background and, RED PMS 187 which translates to RGB=#bb8900 this is the tab color. So as much I would like to use colors that are assumed to be "Navy Colors" I rather use the the Presice Official Navy Colors. Im glad you liked the portal, tell your friends--WilsBadKarma (Talk/Contribs) 21:01, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
To be honest if you look at the history of the portal I originally made the colors as you suggested but before I nominated it for Featured portal I decided that it would be better to make the colors "Official"--WilsBadKarma (Talk/Contribs) 21:10, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

History of Pittsburgh

I´ll be happy to help when I get back from where I am now! Squamate 15:55, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for including my map

Thanks for including my map as an exemplar at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Maps. I think more standardization is a noble goal, one that I try to preach. It would be good to get the Graphics Lab folks involved too, as they have set up an entirely separate standard and methodology.

Let me know what I can do to help, MapMaster 01:17, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

History of Pittsburgh

It's no wonder I never saw your messages about this article on the WikiProject Pittsburgh talk page; you posted it at the top, above the talk page's first threads from September. New posts go at the bottom, where editors know to look for them. Also, you can always count on Paschmitts and me to help with things like this, and you can leave messages on our talk pages to notify us specifically about events like this. I'm sad I didn't know about it because I would have liked to be part of the discussion. --Chris Griswold () 20:09, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chris, oh well, it's my fault. I'll let someone else nominate it again when they think it's appropriate. But Pittsburghers don't quit so easy, do we? Tomcool 16:23, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

History of Pittsburgh- Good Article

Nominated History of Pittsburgh as a good article and it passed pretty easily. This should make a run at Featured Article easier next time. I might nominate it myself once I get some more time, but a little too busy right now. Thanks for all your help on this one. PadreNuestro 00:46, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

History of Pittsburgh- FAC

I have nominated this article, I think its solid. We'll see how it goes PadreNuestro 01:42, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Relaunching WikiProject Pittsburgh meetups

You are receiving this message because you are a member of the WikiProject Pittsburgh. In the past we have discussed a meetup idea - let's see if we can make it a reality during the summer. Please see this thread for more information.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  23:30, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Pittsburgh-film.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Pittsburgh-film.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:51, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Forts at Forks of Ohio.png

Hiya TomCool. Unless I'm mistaken, the map Forts at Forks of Ohio.png has Fort Duquesne misspelled as "Fort Dusquesne." Alphageekpa (talk) 02:28, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Boy, is my face rouge. I've uploaded a new version with (hopefully) the correct spelling. Thanks for taking the time to point out the error.
