Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to PlayStation 3, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
- You need to provide verifiability, as in WP:V, not your opinions. Thank you for adding to the Xbox 360 games list instead of the main article for not yet major games; some editors in the PlayStation 3 article did not do the same, as in its talk page. If you want to argue with other fanboys about the playstation go to gamespot. --gatoatigrado 19:16, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Sir, did you even bother to see that I did provide citation from IGN that said the Playstation 3 "lies" since the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo? The article I used for citation did an excellent job of proving this point. I am not a fanboy "yes ... yes you are " of any kind; I simply want the lies to be told. I would like to thank you for eliminating the "untitled" and "unspecified" games from the List of Playstation 3 games. I thought it was terrible that those games would be allowed on the list or classified as Verifiable. I really don't see how you can allow the current Playstation 3 page to say that Sony has "futureproof" developer support when honest people like me show citation that the Playstation 3 has a lower level of developer support than ever. In fact, I am just a moron that spouts lies.
- 1st: Learn proper grammar. 2nd: Get your facts straight. 3rd: Sources based on rumours with no proof are not reliable, citations are NOT proof. 4th: The official word is DMC4: Only for "Playstation 3". The proof is here: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/1053. --Luismbs
- Post *proof* of your claims or do not bother editing this article again. Famitsu never said DMC4 was going to be cancelled or seriously delayed for PS3, ported to 360 with greater graphics... All that is BS, *groundless rumours* with no proof. Your sources are *heavily* biased, just like you are. How come your "fully verified information" is not reflected on any major gaming site? --Luismbs
- I'm not criticizing your corrections about Devil May Cry. I don't see where your comments about lack of grammar apply, but this is a talk page anyway, and correcting them isn't productive. You repeatedly tried to make comments from an insider source, without stating that the opinion came from elsewhere besides Wikipedia. I am glad you are not a fanboy, I am not either. [1], [2] --gatoatigrado 23:14, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- "Sony has "futureproof" developer support" - it does? It should say Sony said that they have good developer support, if at all. I didn't write that. Two wrongs don't make a right. --gatoatigrado 23:14, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Bottom Line (no, certainly not)
When the Producer--Hiroshi Kobayashi--CLEARLY tells Famitsu that Devil May Cry 4 will make its debut on the Xbox 360 and the Wii, then that is an OBVIOUS indicator that it will NOT make its debut at the same time on the Playstation 3!!! What part of this do you NOT understand? I listed THREE websites from May 18, 2006 that show this. You show ONE website, with outdated information that truly is biased; the information page you gave can't even make up its mind whether or not Assassins Creed is going to be released on the Xbox 360. The Producer of the Devil May Cry series made this CLEAR!!! I am changing this website back to the way it should be in regards to the Xbox 360 and the Wii!
There is *NO PROOF* of your claims. Haven't you wondered why there are no scans of Famitsu's article anywhere? DMC4 is an AAA title and important news such as PS3 version cancelled/severely delayed or 360 and Wii versions announced should be confirmed everywhere in all major gaming sites and they aren't. The sites you mention are *heavily biased* and/or include *made-up information*. *Post proof* of what you want to post here or I will report your activities as vandalism at once.
- Mistakes are NOT vandalism. Bad sources are NOT vandalism. The links I posted above come a bit closer. --gatoatigrado 14:16, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

- sign your discussion. the bold / not bold doesn't work.
- discuss this at talk:playstation 3. There is already discussion there, and any contributions would be welcome. Wisq has already pointed out more intellectual disputes to your sources besides your edits being grammatically incorrect. I added more comments there.
Grammar and Spelling
I would just like to mention that I did not write the article for Devil May Cry; I simply adjusted the parts that related to what systems it would be released for. If you have a problem with the grammar, you really need to blame other people--not me. Nevertheless, please feel free to make any modifications that you want to. I will not adjust the Devil May Cry 4 article any more; however, I am officially reserving the right to say, "Told ya so!" when Devil May Cry 4 is released for the Wii and the Xbox 360, but not the Playstation 3. I have a friend who travels from Japan and reads Japanese; he has that issue of Famitsu, and he said there is absolutely no goof up or mistranslation. I wrote to a couple of Official Xbox 360 websites and Wii websites, and I was told that the reason this was overlooked by the majority of the press is because there was a lot of coverage in the media, which resulted in confusion because there was a mistranslation in January. There was no mistranslation in May, though.
citation on Blu-ray Disc
Hi!
You added the following to the Blu-ray Disc article:
- "[That the discs so far issued are single-layered and all use the MPEG-2 codec] is the main reason why Blu-ray discs have far fewer special features and bonus content than HD-DVD or standard DVD movies.
I am curious - to whom is this the "main reason"? As I'm sure you know, we're not allowed to include original research in our articles. —Gabbe 21:15, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- He's right. The studios are moronic. If they used mpeg4 avc or vc1, it would be better than blu ray. Now, they have worse audio and less special features. --gatoatigrado 05:38, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Response to Main Reason why Blu-ray movies have less Bonus Content than HD-DVD or Standard DVD movies
Gabbe, this is not "original research" that I invented on my own. I am simply updating the page with honest facts based on industry standards currently in place. The industry standard fact of the matter is that each 25GB layer of Blu-ray technology using MPEG-2 compression holds approximately two hours of high-definition video content. Another industry standard fact of the matter is that each 15GB layer of HD-DVD technology using VC-1 compression holds approximately two hours of high-definition video content. All HD-DVD movies currently released are dual-layer 30GB discs using VC-1 compression, which allows approximately four hours of high-definition video content to be placed on the disc. All Blu-ray movies currently released are single-layer 25GB discs using MPEG-2 compression, which allows approximately two hours of high-definition video content to be placed on the disc. These are industry standards currently in place for both formats at this point in time.
With all due respect, it does not take a math teacher to realize that four-hours of content on an HD-DVD allows twice as much high-definition video content as Blu-ray discs that only allow two-hours of high-definition content. HD-DVD movies currently available have a lot of bonus features, whereas Blu-ray movies do not. The reason for this is obviously because most of the movies released on Blu-ray are close to two hours in length, which does not allow bonus content to be placed on the Blu-ray disc. This is not a factor for HD-DVD, because even if longer movies like Forrest Gump or Casino were placed on the disc, four hours of space is more than enough to not only include the movie, but also lots of additional bonus content and special features. Movies like Forrest Gump and Casino would not be able to be released for Blu-ray at this point in time--for obvious reasons. Obviously, this fact based information should not be classified as, "Original Research," just as writing 2+2=4 would not need to be. Please allow the adjustments I made to stay, because they are based on honest industry facts.
Thank you for your time. Sincerely--Mike_mgoblue
- I am not disputing that after including the main feature, a typical Blu-ray disc will generally have less room left for supplementary material than a typical HD-DVD. What I don't agree with is that this necessarily leads to the conclusion "[t]his is the main reason why Blu-ray discs have far fewer special features and bonus content than HD-DVD or standard DVD movies" as the article states. Neither of the two statements
- Blu-ray discs have far fewer special features and bonus content than HD-DVD or standard DVD movies
- This is because of lack of room on the Blu-ray disc
- follow directly from the premises in the article. It seems to me that the latter is a conclusion you've drawn yourself based on the facts you've presented. If this statement indeed originated with yourself and not from a reliable source, it is precisely what is meant by original research.
- Remember that the inclusion criteria for Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. As true as the fact that 2+2=4 may seem to you, if you can't find a single reliable source that has published the assertion "2+2=4" then - believe it or not - you're not allowed to include that information on Wikipedia. Similarly, unless you can find a reliable source that claims that "[t]his is the main reason why Blu-ray discs have far fewer special features and bonus content than HD-DVD or standard DVD movies", that sentence has no place in a Wikipedia article - regardless of whether it is true or not. —Gabbe 10:50, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- Gabbe, don't throw Wikipedia policies at people. Read the review for the first hddvds and Blu Ray discs that came out for the same movie. actually it was three movies at the same day. The reviewers came to the same opinion. If you want I can find the sources again. I think Mike's comment could be edited to say that so long as the studios continue to use MPEG2, there will be less extra space on a whatever number layer blu ray disc than a whatever number layer hd dvd disc. --gatoatigrado 05:44, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
ps3 article locked?
"Protected in some way" - what is this? You should be able to edit the ps3 article. You aren't banned as far as I can see. It's not locked down at all. You're right about the HDMI cable thing, although it's not as bad news as the 4 month Europe delay. --gatoatigrado 05:37, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

PS3 Upcoming Games
Mike, you say the game "Coded Arms: Assault" was canceled. No proof or any talk other than you has been produced. Until then, this game is still official. If Famitsu confirms it, then you must have the magazine, and you can produce a scan, and send it into Kotaku, Gamespot, IGN, and others yourself. When proof has been show, then we shall count it as cancelled. --WhereAmI 02:27, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Update: You have been asked not to vandalize articles before, I hope you are not lying otherwise this is another thorn for your account.--WhereAmI 02:36, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- It is nice that you got a source this time. Before deletion, lets wait on Konami's word.--WhereAmI 00:32, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for not counting some sort of "strike" or "thorn" in my account. I was just trying to help the website so that it has the most updated information available. I did my best to provide a link for you. I showed the IGN website. I hope that this is what you were looking for; your comment seems to indicate that I did provide you with what you were looking for. Could you please tell me if I did get some sort of strike against me, just so I don't worry. I have seizures caused by stress, so please tell me when you can.
Sincerely, Mike Mike mgoblue 04:38, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Stress seizures? Then stop bringing stress onto yourself by providing unverified claims...don't forget your tongue depressor!
Please post official statements as proof to back your edits
What's the point of claiming the cancellation of any game without any solid and official proof? That will only make you look like an Internet troll. Granted this is not such a ridiculous claim as the whole PS3 DMC4 cancellation you were so confident about not long ago with groundless arguments, but it's still not true unless the publisher states it is. What is more, the original source of all these alleged cancellations, Famitsu, has recently stated that the information regarding Konami's cancelled projects is wrong. Nick Hogan's False Height
Guys, stop deleting my article about Nick Hogan's height. We know for a fact that Brooke Hogan is 5'11", because it appears in her online biographies. However, those same biographies say that Nick Hogan is 6'1" tall, and that is where the problem lies. Anyone with eyes can see that Brook Hogan is significantly taller that Nick Hogan, regardless of the camera angle. Nick Hogan's Mohawk haircut added three inches to his height, which allowed him to claim that he is 6'1" tall. In reality, Nick Hogan is only 5'10" tall, just a couple inches taller than his 5'8" mom.
Please, stop deleting my contributions...History has proven that I know what I'm talking about. Devil May Cry 4, Virtua Fighter 5, Assassins Creed, Unreal Tournament 3, Fatal Inertia 3, and many others were all released for the Xbox 360. Not one of those games ended up being "exclusive" to the Playstation 3, even though Sony said they were.
And for the record, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy 13 are also going to be released for the Xbox 360...don't argue against me, just live with it. Mike mgoblue (talk) 20:49, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
And until you have accurate proof of these "obvious fanboy" claims, go back to playing your system. I hope it doesnt redlight on you. MS really needs you as part of their viral marketing campaign. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.194.101.122 (talk) 19:54, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Playstation 3 Defects Exposed with Firmware Update 2.4
And I hope that the Playstation 3 Firmware Update 2.4 doesn't cause your PS3 to become "bricked." This was yet another lie from Sony. Sony said that "All" PS3 games would have trophies available thanks to this firmware update. We now know that only 3 (yes, ONLY THREE) Playstation 3 games have trophies available! What's worse is that Sony has now confirmed that it is NOT mandatory for 1st party, 2nd party, or 3rd paty developers to include the Trophy feature. This means very few games will include that feature. The whole reason why Xbox 360 Achievements are so cool is because all games are required to include 1000 points. Anyways, I'm sure you have work to do reformatting your PS3 hard drive thanks to the firmware 2.4 update that exposes so many of the Playstation 3 defects that exist in FAR more than 33% of the PS3 systems. Mike mgoblue (talk) 08:24, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, fag. Microsoft's viral marketing never ceases to amaze me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.186.94.132 (talk) 08:29, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
No, I'm not a viral marketer. I'm just someone who doesn't appreciate Sony's lies to generate false hype for the Playstation 3. Microsoft spent $1 Billion to extend the warranties of Xbox 360 systems to THREE YEARS! Do you think Sony will do that with the Playstation 3 and all of the bricked systems from Firmware Update 2.4? Not likely.
The really bad thing is that there are people out there who make excuses for Sony rather than admit all of the problems with the Playstation 3. The fact that the Playstation 3 has been available for 1.5 Years and STILL has ZERO games available in certain genres is TERRIBLE. For example, Real-Time Strategy games like Battle for Midearth 2, Command & Conquer, Universe at War, and Red Alert are all released for Xbox 360, but NOT for Playstation 3! Playstation 3 has ZERO Real-Time Strategy games!
Rather than calling me a viral marketer, please, go and look to see if Sony was telling the truth about "4D Games" running at 120 frames per second on a PS3 system with 2 HDMI outputs are true. NONE of those promises from Sony came true; they were all lies to generate false hype. Sadly, you have not realized that. Mike mgoblue (talk) 09:04, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- yeah ok fool. all that shit you just said was never even promised. you're just twisting words, and makign shit up so your precious xbox will look better. but it's still being outsold by the ps3 even though you say it's obviously superior, and it costs half the price. and lets not forget about the wii which has flattened the 360 since day one. like i said, i bet you're not a gamer - you are just another microsoft viral marketer. you guys are so low.
List of Sony's Lies with Playstation 3
Ken Kutaragi, Kaz Hirai, Phil Harrison, Jack Tretton, and other executives of Sony specifically delivered these promises about features related to the Playstation 3 and the performance that they said it would offer. Each of these promises ended up being proves as lies:
(1) Ken Kutaragi promised "4D" graphics at the 2005 E3 show.
(2) At the 2005 E3 show, Ken Kutaragi promised that all Playstation 3 games would run at a mandatory resolution of 1920x1080p
(3) At the 2005 E3 show, Ken Kutaragi promised that Playstation 3 would have games running at 120 Frames Per Second.
(4) At the 2005 E3 show, Kaz Hirai, Ken Kutaragi, and many others discussed how the Playstation 3 would include TWO outputs for HDMI.
(5) Kaz Hirai, Jack Tretton, Phil Harrison, and Ken Kutaragi repeatedly confirmed time after time at various trade shows that Sony was going to launch the Playstation 3 simultaneously worldwide in all markets, similar to what Microsoft did with the Xbox 360.
(6) All of those Sony executives mentioned above repeatedly confirmed that the Playstation 3 would launch worldwide in spring of 2006.
(7) Many Sony executives said Firmware Update 2.4 would deliver trophies to "ALL" Playstation 3 games. They said the same thing about the ability to add Custom Background Music to "ALL" Playstation 3 games. The reason Sony promised these things was to generate false hype. After all, the FACT is that "ALL" Xbox 360 games offer Achievements, Custom Background Music, and Online Chat.
Confirmation of Sony "Over-Promising" and "Under-Delivering" with PS3
(1) Playstation 3 obviously does NOT have anything close to "4D Graphics."
The fact that Sony would lie about such a thing is NOT surprising, because Sony claimed that the PS2 would have graphics similar to the Disney Movie called Toy Story, and the special effects masterpiece Jurassic Park. Sony claimed that would happen because the PS2 Emotion Engine CPU was a supercomputer. OBVIOUSLY this did NOT happen! Therefore, it was NOT a surprise when Sony tried to tell a similar lie with the Cell CPU used in the Playstation 3.
(2) We now know that very few Playstation 3 games have a Native Resolution of 1920x1080p that display 2 million pixels on screen at the same time. Most Playstation 3 games have a Native Resolution of 1280x720p or lower, which put 1 million or fewer pixels on-screen simultaneously.
What's worse is that Sony is currently using the "1080p" symbol as a misleading way of telling lies to customers. For example, Sony is saying that Gran Turismo 5 will have "1080p Resolution." The resolution that Gran Turismo 5 will run at is 960x1080p, NOT 1920x1080p. The resolution of 960x1080p displays the EXACT same number of pixels as 1920x1080i, which is 1 Million pixels on screen simultaneously--HALF that of 1920x1080p.
Also, the Playstation 3 hardware does NOT have a Resolution Upconversion chip. This means that Playstation 3 games are not upconverted to 1080p resolution the way that Xbox 360 games are. The Xbox 360 hardware does have a Resolution Upconversion chip that upconverts all games to the optimal resolution of either 720p, 768p, 1080i, or 1080p.
Due to the fact that the Playstation 3 cannot upconvert resolution, there are actually situations where you will end up playing PS3 games on an HDTV, but NOT seeing the games in high-definition!
For example, if you play a PS3 game with a Native Resolution of 720p on a Plasma or CRT HDTV set with a Native Resolution of 1080i, then the HDTV will take the 720p signal and analyze it. The HDTV does not have the ability to upconvert the signal to 1080i, and the PS3 does not have that ability either. As a result, the 1080i HDTV set will DOWNCONVERT the 720p signal to a 480p signal!
(3) Ken Kutaragi of Sony may have promised that Playstation 3 games would run smoothly at 120 frames per second at 1920x1080p resolution, but in reality most Playstation 3 games struggle to run at 30 frames per second, even though the resolution used is only 1280x720p or lower.
For example, in the review of the 2008 Football games, Gamespot compared the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions. Gamespot said, "The Xbox 360 versions run smoothly at 60 frames per second at resolutions as high as 1920x1080p, while the Playstation 3 versions struggle to run at only 30 frames per second with resolutions of 1280x720p or less."
Gamespot has a Graphics Comparison every year between the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. For three years in a row (2006,07,08) the Xbox 360 has easily beaten the Playstation 3. Games appear either "noticably" or "significantly" better on the Xbox 360. Xbox 360 games have higher resolution, more polygons, smoother framerates, with better textures and shaders.
(4) Sony originally promised 2 HDMI outputs on the Playstation 3, but the system launched with only 1 HDMI ouput.
This was a lie all along; it was intended to generate false hype, just so people wouldn't rush out and buy the Xbox 360. Thankfully, people were ready for Sony's lies this time, since people remember the lies Sony told about the PS2.
(5 & 6) Playstation 3 did NOT launch in the spring of 2006. PS3 did NOT launch simultaneously worldwide the way the Xbox 360 did. We now know that Sony NEVER intended to launch the Playstation 3 simultaneously worldwide. The ONLY reason Sony made these false promises was to motivate people to "wait for the PS3," rather than rushing out and buying the Xbox 360. Thankfully, Sony's lies failed miserably.
(7) We now know that Firmware Update 2.4 only adds the trophy feature to 3 (yes, ONLY THREE) of the games available for Playstation 3! We also know that the trophy feature is NOT a mandatory feature that developers are required to include in future games. In fact, Sony does NOT require that 3rd party, 2nd party, or even 1st party developers include features related to trophies, custom background music, or online voice chat!
OBVIOUSLY, the Playstation 3 is STILL vastly inferior to the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, because Microsoft says it is MANDATORY for ALL Xbox 360 games to include Achievements, Custom Background Music, and Online Voice Chat that can be used while playing games.
- I have CLEARLY EXPLAINED these LIES that Sony executives told! I am NOT a "viral marketer." Rather than making false accusations like that, why don't you just ADMIT it is better to play a game like Madden 2008 on the Xbox 360 rather than the Playstation 3, because the Xbox 360 version lets you chat online while you are playing!
Oh, and it is a 100% FACT that the Playstation 3 has games in several genres where there are STILL ZERO games available. Like I said before, just look at the Real-Time Strategy genre that everyone is getting excited about because Halo Wars was recently shown. Games like Command & Conquer 3 and Battle for Midearth 2 from EA are released for Xbox 360, but NOT for Playstation 3. Same thing with Universe at War and Red Alert 3.
The fact that PS3 has been available for 1.5 years and doesn't have a Tetris game, and doesn't have ANY games in the Real-Time Strategy genre is TERRIBLE. Xbox 360 has TWO awesome games with the Tetris name! Genres such as Real-Time Strategy are important to a LOT of gamers. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and the FACT that the Playstation 3 is actually MISSING genre-links after being available for 1.5 YEARS is the entire reason why the Playstation 3 has failed.
Viral Marketing Accusations are GONE. Here is the PROOF of Sony's LIES & PS3 Inferiority!
(1) Here are some hyperlinks that talk about the lie Sony told about the Playstation 3 having “4D Graphics.” Obviously, this never came close to happening. The same thing can be said about the lies Sony told about the PS2 having an “Emotion Engine CPU capable of delivering graphics similar to the Disney movie Toy Story.”
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/696/696060p1.html - Talks about 4D Statements being made, which we now know were deliberate lies to generate false hype.
http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2006/03/15/kutaragi-live-and-unhinged/ - Talks about 4D Statements, and reminds gamers that this sort of lie isn’t anything new for Ken Kutaragi of Sony, because he told similar lies with the PS2. The Toy Story example is specifically mentioned.
(2) Here you can see that Sony made an announcement where the resolution of 1080p was specifically referred to as the “Standard.” Sony even pointed out that 1080p was far superior to 720p and 1080i. We now know this was a lie intended to generate false hype. Virtually all Playstation 3 games have a Native Resolution of 720p or lower. For example, Grand Theft Auto 4 on the Xbox 360 has a Native Resolution of 720p, while the Playstation 3 version runs at only 640p.
http://www.idiottoys.com/2005/05/playstation-3-spring-2006-official.html - Sony’s promise of a 1080p “Standard” Resolution.
http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=137829&page=3 – Eurogamer conducts a side-by-side comparison of Grand Theft Auto 4 on both systems. The Xbox 360 is selected as the superior version, and this article proves that the Xbox 360 version has a Native Resolution of 720p compare to only 640p for the Playstation 3.
(3) Here are some links where Sony talks about how we would likely see games running at 120 frames per second on the Playstation 3. We now know that this never had a chance of happening. Games that run at a smooth 60 frames per second on the Xbox 360 “struggle to run at 30 frames per second” on the Playstation 3. That was a quote from Gamespot during a comparison of Madden 2008 on both systems.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6136786.html - This shows Sony generating false hype…again. Sony claims the PS3 will see games running at 120 frames per second. We now know that most PS3 games have trouble running at 30 frames per second.
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/sports/ncaafootball08/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary&tag=summary%3Breview&page=2 - Quote from Review for NCAA 2008: “Thanks to a faster, smoother frame rate and better-looking player shadows, the 360 version of the game gets the nod over the PS3, which struggles to run smoothly even at half the frame rate.”
The main reason why the Xbox 360 has much smoother framerates is because the Xbox 360 has so much more polygon power. All you need to do to confirm this is look on the boxes of the systems. The Xbox 360 has the ability to display 500,000,000 polygons per second, just as the box clearly says. The Playstation 3 has the ability to display no more than 275,000,000 polygons per second. On the PS3 box Sony uses the word “Vertices,” which is another word for “Line.” It takes at least three vertices to create a triangle polygon. In terms of polygon power, the specification numbers PROVE that the Xbox 360 is FAR SUPERIOR to the Playstation 3, and the games available on both systems VERIFY it, just as the Gamespot Graphics Comparisons have shown each year.
http://www.totalvideogames.com/news/PS3_Half_Polygon_Performance_Of_360__10053_3307_0.htm - This article talks about how the Playstation 3 has only half the polygon performance of the Xbox 360. We now know this is true, because of the multitude of multiplatform games that run at 60 frames per second on the Xbox 360, but only 30 frames per second on the Playstation 3.
http://digg.com/xbox/Sony_PS3_275_000_000_polygons_per_second_vs_Xbox_360_s_500_000_000 - This article gives 100% confirmation to the FACT that the Playstation 3 has only half the polygon performance of the Xbox 360, and it lists games that prove it.
http://www.product-reviews.net/2007/11/06/sony-ps3-275000000-polygons-per-second-vs-xbox-360s-500000000/ - This article confirms that a wise person named Kim Naroz makes it 100% clear that the Xbox 360 is vastly superior to the Playstation 3.
(4) Sony continuously promised that the PS3 would have TWO outputs for HDMI. This was a lie all along intended to generate false hype. PS3 ended up with only one HDMI output. Here is an article that lists the specifications Sony showed at the 2005 E3. It clearly says “HDMI Out x 2.”
http://www.idiottoys.com/2005/05/playstation-3-spring-2006-official.html
(5) Sony lied and said they were going to launch the Playstation 3 in the spring of 2006. Obviously, that never happened, and it was never their plan to do so. Here’s an article that talks about this fact:
http://www.idiottoys.com/2005/05/playstation-3-spring-2006-official.html - Sony lies and says the PS3 is going to launch in the spring of 2006.
(6) Sony always said the Playstation 3 would have a simultaneous worldwide launch. Even after the PS3 was not released in the spring of 2006, Sony continued to tell this lie! Sony knew the PS3 was not going to launch worldwide all along.
http://www.siliconera.com/2006/03/15/playstation-3-will-have-a-simultaneous-worldwide-launch/ - Sony’s business people promise a worldwide launch that never happened. Sony also said that 100% of all PS2 games would be compatible with the Playstation 3. Obviously, this never came close to happening. The $400 PS3 is a joke, because Sony now says that consumers don’t care about backward compatibility. That is “political talk” that sends the message of “We couldn’t get the PS3 to be backward compatible, so we gave up.”
(7) Sony continuously promised that Firmware Update 2.4 would cause “ALL PS3 Games” to include support for the Trophy feature and the Background Music feature. EVERY game available for the Xbox 360 includes and the Achievements feature, Background Music feature, and Online Chat feature. So, it was reasonable to believe that Sony was telling the truth. Unfortunately, we now know that Sony was NOT telling the truth. Sony was simply telling ANOTHER LIE to try and generate false hype. This ended up blowing up in Sony’s face, because Firmware Update 2.4 was a disaster that exposed the defects that exist in all models of the Playstation 3.
Here is a great link where Gamespot specifically explains that only 3 (yes, ONLY THREE) Playstation 3 games include the Trophy feature! What’s worse is that Sony says Third-Party, Second-Party, and even First-Party developers are NOT required to include those features in the future!

(8) Gamespot has had a Graphics Comparison between the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 each year since the PS3 has been available. Xbox 360 has easily won these Graphics Comparisons all three years, in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Here are the links that show the Xbox 360 Graphic Dominance:

http://www.gamespot.com/features/6171831/p-7.html - 2007 Comparison of Graphics where Xbox 360 beats the PS3 for the second year in a row. The thing that’s really bad for Sony is that the gap in performance wasn’t as big as it was in 2006—when the Xbox 360 easily crushed the Playstation 3. Sony’s fans saw “potential” that the PS3 might one day catch up to the Xbox 360. Unfortunately for Sony, 2008 arrived and we saw that gap in performance get BIGGER, once again in favor of the Xbox 360.
http://www.gamespot.com/features/6162742/index.html - 2006 Comparison of Graphics makes it 100% clear that Xbox 360 versions of multi-platform games have graphics far superior to the Playstation 3 versions, even when the PS3 versions are released much later.
Bottom Line: It truly was my pleasure to deliver these 100% reliable cited sources of information that PROVE that Sony tells LIES and PROVE that the Playstation 3 is inferior to the Xbox 360...Oh, by the way, the Playstation 3 still has ZERO games in the Real-Time Strategy genre, even though it has been available for 1.5 YEARS!
If I'm a marketing "virus," then I just killed the Playstation 3!...but let's be honest, I couldn't have done it without your desire for citations, and I couldn't have done it without a LOT of help from Sony! Mike mgoblue (talk) 16:54, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
