Notability of UE Extremenya

A tag has been placed on UE Extremenya, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Anonymous Dissident Utter 18:01, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Albanian Football players

Hi Retepretep, I have noticed you have created quite a few new articles. Good job! The subjects of the ones I have looked at appear to be deserving of articles. As with all wikipedia articles, they could be improved. Please take a look at the Manual of Style to get an idea of how articles are expected to look in Wikipedia. Also please provide references for all your articles. Check out existing articles like Juan Pablo Sorín to get an idea of how articles for footballers should look. Clerks. 15:10, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Football in Albania. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.albaniasoccer.com/en/index.php?topmenuitem=history in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Football in Albania with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Football in Albania with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Football in Albania saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Butseriouslyfolks 16:09, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on MC Saïda, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Angus Lepper(T, C, D) 13:05, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with MC Saïda. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Angus Lepper(T, C, D) 14:34, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bolding article titles

Hello, thank you for contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you have not bolded the first instance of article titles within the article. Doing so conforms to the Wikipedia Manual of Style and is useful in the appearance of articles. You may bold the title by adding three (3) apostrophes to each side of the words to be bolded. Example: '''Text to be bolded''' would produce Text to be bolded. Thank you. --Spring Rubber 07:47, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your articles

Are very short. Could you perhaps give them a little more work? Punkmorten 08:08, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In relation to the comment above, if you're not able to add any more content beyond what you have been, it would help if you could at least properly categorize the articles as stubs. Specifically, all of your stub-length articles I've run across are about Belgian football players, and thus placing the {{Belgium-footy-bio-stub}} template at the bottom of the article would bring it to the attention of other editors interested in Belgian football so they can help expand the articles. Thanks! --Darkwind (talk) 01:23, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've noted that you've created lot of articles about players of the Jupiler League. That is a good point but these articles need to be at least categorized. An infobox could also be useful.See the manual of style to improve it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players. Don't forget that you could find lots of informations about French players of the Jupiler League at www.lequipe.fr. See also how an article you've created is far better using these simple principles. Thanks and keep on working! --Latouffedisco 15:30, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remember, articles on Wikipedia need to cite sources, and be well-developed enough to show how the subject is notable. Maybe, instead of creating a lot of one-sentence articles, you could fully develop one, then move on to another? -FisherQueen (Talk) 11:16, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Nallbani.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:16, 1 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. [[Category:{year of birth} births]], for example, Category:1989 births

I see you have been creating a lot of new articles about Albanian football players. You should note that the word "Albanian" may refer to a country, a language, or an ethnicity. I can tell that you are editing in good faith. But you aren't really helping by creating one-sentence articles that lack any details about their subjects' notability, and that are unreferenced. So I want you to know that, although I'm going to block you the next time you create an article that lacks references or information that would help a reader understand what makes the subject notable, there will be no hard feelings in the block; it'll just be so that you can take some time to learn more about how to create an effective article. -FisherQueen (Talk) 16:05, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If there is nothing to say other than that a person plays for a football team, then there is no need for a separate article about that person; the player rosters on the team page are sufficient. If you want an article about a player, make sure that you have at least three reliable sources and at least enough information for several paragraphs. -FisherQueen (Talk) 15:03, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Enrik Dafa, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Current Squad

Hi, I see you have beeen making serial changes to a large number of pages of Football Clubs involving adding '2007/8' to the standard heading 'Current Squad'. This addition to the heading is not only unnecessary but the format for these pages has been set out in Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Clubs. If you wish to propose a change I suggest you discuss this first on the Project Talk Page at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Clubs. In the menatime I suggest you stop making changes and do the community spirited thing and revert your changes thus saving a lot of unnecessary work by other editors. Thanks Tmol42 (talk) 21:34, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought you had taken heed after my last message but I see you are making these pointless and timewasting changes again which will just irritate and require editors to change their pages for no good reason as each year goes by which is why the style guide has been designed as such. Please follow WK policy and guidelines and the Style Guide from Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football. Editing is best when achieved via consensus so discuss on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Clubs page as your singlemindedness will result in you being the ultimate loser as I will revert these and will take further action if you persist. As I suggested before be community minded and go back and rvt your earlier changes. Thanks Tmol42 (talk) 10:59, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As a curtesy to you I am letting you know I have raised my concerns about your recent editing to the Current squads heading on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football and encourage you to set out your rationale for the changes you have been making these. If you have a good case I am sure it will recieve a fair airing by the community which will save you time in making these changes yourself otherwise you will get a reality check on your approach to editing which will I am sure will be equally helpful. While I have nailed my colours to the mast already I am equally happy to go with the consensus view.Tmol42 (talk) 11:55, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
