user warning templates
Thanks for taking the time to warn vandals, like you did here, but next time consider {{uw-test1}} instead if {{test1}} since it's a better template for warning users and it has a nice icon that allows to distinghish better the templates ("uw" stands for "user warning" and is part of some template standarization effort). You will find a list of warning templates at Wikipedia:Template_messages/User_talk_namespace --Enric Naval (talk) 21:00, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- lol, I just noticed that you are an admin. I assume that you already knew about the "uw-test1" template :) --Enric Naval (talk) 21:01, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles requested for more than a year
Hi Bearian. With the year almost up, we're making an effort to reduce the number of listings at Wikipedia:Articles requested for more than a year. You've been a big help in the past with that project page and I am hoping that you can knock out a few to contribute to the effort. Thanks. Bebestbe (talk) 20:27, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Extension to qualified majority voting under the Treaty of Lisbon
Regarding your edit to this page, I clearly stated in the edit summary that this was a work in progress. There was no need to add the clean up and stub tags. Give us a break! AndrewRT(Talk) 00:07, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your reply. This would be great. Was there any particular reason you nominated it for deletion, so I know what I should look to change? Thank you again. gutsalo (talk) 13:30, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Requesting your help with new article
Hi Bearian, I just began an article on implied consent, but it's still a bit stubby. Can you think of anything to add to it? Thanks in advance for your editing help. --Eastlaw (talk) 21:06, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Re:Adminship
Thank you for taking the time for seeing if I was interested in becoming a sysop. Unfortunately, I am not interested because I am actually trying to spend less time on Wikipedia and I do not feel I have the patience needed to deal with some of the more extreme editors. Thank you anyways, Aspects (talk) 05:23, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi there, I wondered if you were interested in helping to improve the anti-copyright article, really needs some solid research. And while I am at it, the UN Global Compact article needs help as well, in case your interested.--SasiSasi (talk) 22:30, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

My recent edit to SUNY New Paltz
Bearian--
Hi. I see you changed back this page after my recent edit, and then put the following on my talk page:
"If you make major changes, you should discuss them and your reasoning at Talk:State University of New York at New Paltz. Bearian (talk) 18:58, 23 June 2008 (UTC)"
Sorry, but I thought I had. I edited the talk page for SUNY New Paltz as follows, go see for yourself?
Student Leader Controversy Section
... So I admit to being on the SUNY New Paltz faculty. But I think I have a halfway neutral viewpoint, despite that. My opinion is that the entire "Controversy" section should be made part of the History section. I went and looked at the Wikipedia page for UC Berkeley, which is famous for controversy. That's what was done there. It seems to me that putting that material in a separate section violates NPOV by giving it more prominence than it merits. DavidHobby (talk) 02:51, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
O.K., I'm going to do it. If you don't like the changes, please reply? DavidHobby (talk) 00:14, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Is there something I should have done to make my intentions more visible? I'm happy to talk about changes first!

RfA thanks
Louis Franco
Thank you for your note. I´ve already have a question. Insane. This is it: I´m trying to create a page for "Luis Franco", argentine poete and writer. I went ahead and created Luis Franco (Argentine Writer) but i´m not happy with the fact that if you search Luis Franco you en up with a Cuban Boxer and no other alternatives. What can I do? How can a list or move the writer to appear at the same time as the boxer. Help! Thank you. Sabonarola —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sabonarola (talk • contribs) 04:26, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up!
Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the heads-up about the RfA questionnaire--I managed to get mine in (albeit a little on the late side), so hopefully it'll be of some help. More importantly, I'm glad to see that you're back to your old genki self. Be sure and drink lots of green tea--it's some of the best stuff out there :) --jonny-mt 05:09, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Wilder Shaw
Hello, About notability, I think that he should be considered a notable person because he shows up on multiple other websites confirming who he is and what he has done, and he has a relatively popular internet series. He is more notable than some of the people who show up on the pages of wikipedia, and if anything is this not a website for being able to look up what and who you want to learn about? I think he has enough to qualify him for that. I can look for more external references and add them to the page if necesary. Also, if you google him, there are pages upon pages about him that come up. Thank you, Zacq12 (talk) 23:41, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
