Wow

Thank you so much for the barnstar (and your support)! :) I almost can't believe it...we just started and we're coming to the end in 5 more days...! Ncmvocalist (talk) 10:39, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You deserve this for your hard work... Btw I suggest you may extend it over to end of July. I see people are gaining pace and new people are still joining... With the current enthusiasm , I feel we can complete the targets if extended till end of July. -- TinuCherian (Chat?) - 10:49, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, and it has indeed been gaining some pace recently. I've extended it to 28 July. A 1-week workshop will follow (to finish by the first week of August), but I'll give a little more info about it closer to the time. Cheers again :) Ncmvocalist (talk) 14:39, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA Thanks

Thank you for your support at my RFA, which has closed as a success. But I don't need to tell you that; I've seen your message on my talk page already! Sorry about the delay in thanking you for your support, but there are quite a lot of people to thank, and I didn't want to use a templated thanks. Guess I should be glad I didn't make it into the WP:100 club ;-). Seriously, your support means a lot, and I look forward to working with you in the future. Kerali

Hi!! Wow! Nice to meet you also! Bangalore? I know, a lot of Kerali students (and workers) are settled in that city. Your malayali wikipedia is in growth, I saw in my italian watchlist a lot of bot edits in malayalam, the latter is this: ml:കോസ്മിക്‌ വര്‍ഷം, just on this morning. :-) Take care, enjoy that big city, as is Bangalore! --Roberto Mura (talk) 15:05, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ya .. there are lots of Malayalis in Bangalore after the IT boom. I am myself another software engineer here :). I am not active in Malayalam wiki as in English...the main difficulty is writing in ' English Malayalam'. I should get a Malayalam keyboard on my next visit to Kerala. How are you finding the food and climate in Kerala ? Might be tough for you, right ? :) And language ? you might be finding it pretty difficult right ? In cities like Bangalore, it doesnt matter much if you dont know local language , you can survive with english, hindi or a bit of tamil. But in Kerala , it is difficult. :) Take care -- Tinu Cherian - 05:20, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Tough, not for me :-) Our italian summer, in July-August, is hotter and hotter than your one. As written to the Bombayan, I saw this and last monsoon, and I can understand that your rain season is like our italian November. Food is good, in general, a lot spiced (I eat also italian food here); I like in particular your parotta (I don't know how is written in Latin Alphabet :-)) The only thing that no foreigner (and also a lot of Indians) can suffer here in Kerala are your loudspeackers in the festival occasions (in all the World -also here in India- this horrible action is condamned as acustic pollution!!) Bye!! ;-) --Roberto Segnali all'Indiano 16:45, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

help with categories

I've seen you around on the India Pages, I needed some help on categories. I started to tag all Indian media related pages with the cat:Indian media. However, the Indiam media listing page has bloated to 300 entries. so obviosuly there is something wrong in this approach. what is the correct approach on this? cheers.

Re: Revert

It appeared to be vandalism. In fact, i still believe it is. Please provide a source on how someone can be a Most Rev., and A Rev. and a Dr. Then again, i'm not very educated on titles but i dont believe someone should be called a Most Reverend Doctor? Regardless, i appologise if i reverted non vandalism, but its hard to tell sometimes. This was a judgement call. Sorry! Metagraph comment 02:24, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I am from WP:Christianity in India and know it the correct edit. Doctor is Doctorate in Christian Theology, usually awarded as honours to Christian bishops in India. In Indian christian denominations like St.Thomas Evangelical Church, Church of South India etc, the presiding bishop is usually addressed as Most Reverend and other senior bishops as Rt. Reverend...It is ok. you have done in good faith. Happy editing -- Tinu Cherian - 02:31, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm very sorry! Thank you for telling me, i won't make the same mistake again. Thank you! Metagraph comment 02:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not very sure whether you may pass this time , but it looks like you are gaining more support.:) ..Congrats... Regardless of whether you pass or may fail this time, I suggest you should continue till it is closed , gathering all the feedback, which will be only beneficial if there is an another attempt. Your signature was a bad idea but I really feel sorry for you as people opposing you because of a bad signature...Personally I feel that it is not a reason at all to deny adminship to you. Anyways Best of luck again. Keep up the good work you are doing. -- Tinu Cherian - 09:56, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

System_Architecture_Evolution

Hi,

the article System_Architecture_Evolution should be classified as High Importance and would need further development. It is important as it will be the 4th generation mobile network technology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.33.106.4 (talk) 14:38, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome to Project India. Though, I'm consciously not much involved in India related articles, I have contributed to a few, like Etiquette of Indian dining and Osho. Do let me know if any of the project related articles would need cleanup or copy editing, I'll try to help. As such I don't think I possess expertise in any of the topics. Regards. —KetanPanchaltaLK 11:05, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you good in copy editing? Well, I will take your help in future..My english and grammer is still not that good :) -- Tinu Cherian - 11:07, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's standard of English is very high. Even those Indians whose English might be considered very good by Indian standards, actually turn out somewhat mediocre compared to the native speakers of English. If you have time, you could check out polyclonal B cell response (article created by me, but with many copy-edits by other editors) and Clone (cell biology) (entirely my work), and my user page, where you'll find links to a few poems and a movie-review to get an idea of my English. You can also try User:KC Panchal/Reflections, which I may modify in the near future, as it does not, in its current state, deserve to be on Wikipedia, even in my userspace. The page User:KC Panchal/My contributions list all the pages created by me, so that will give you an idea of how my English, when absolutely unadulterated by others, actually is.
One more thing, I have desk with capacity for three articles that hasn't been populated, yet.
Regards. —KetanPanchaltaLK 12:07, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tinu -

As a matter of fact, I do not have a wealth of knowledge in Syro Malabar Church, to the extent of writing an encyclopedia article. But I see the language used in the wikipedia article is not for an encyclopedia. It certainly calls for a complete re-write even. But I have to find time and information to get into such an action - both of which are scarce resources now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.3.69.196 (talk) 20:08, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
