Uh, you do have an article, but it doesnt say what year weisinger took over superman. Please add that key bit of info. Thanks
"Superman on the couch"
Alan Moore's Chain Reaction (BBC) interview/discussion with Stewart Lee saw Moore crediting many of Weisinger's additions to the Superman mythos as coming out of his therapy sessions. Now, his (Moore's) logic is almost-certainly slightly flawed, since he seems to possibly credit Weisinger over Siegel & Shuster with the "immigrant in America" subtext.
Can Moore be cited for this? On the one hand, it's a vague "Alan Moore remembers reading that..."; on the other hand he surely qualifies as a known expert, and the BBC as a reputable medium. Several "good" sources could ultimately be said to be as vague or reference such vagueness, but by the same token that is not logic enough on its own to allow the same to happen here.
Anyone have any thoughts - or better yet, alternate sources for the Weisinger therapy/neuroses..? ntnon (talk) 18:45, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
