Music video
On a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Avril Lavigne revealed that the concept for the music video would be "Like a film of comedy, it has some funny scenes and a cute story about me wanting my 'Prince Charming'".
The video was directed by Wayne Isham and was filmed on February 28, 2008. The official video premiered on TRL Italy on April 4, 2008.
The video shows Lavigne as a cheerleader with back up dancers, in a light blue dress wearing a short pink wig, and in a black and pink room performing with her band. She played the drums towards the end of the video while wearing a T-shirt which displayed her clothing line logo "Abbey Dawn". Along with her brother Matthew, her former band members Evan Taubenfeld and Devin Bronson also made an appearance in the video. The video premiered on Imeem on April 9, 2008, in which Lavigne herself introduced the video[4].
Chart performance
So far in Canada, 2 stations have added the track and it is in the Top 90 in airplay. Though it had no physical release to date, it charted at number 7 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles Chart and at number 76 on the Canadian Hot 100 Chart, though it has since descended on the chart considerably. The music video also peaked at 5 on the Australian iTunes Chart. The song has had no promotional appearances due to Avril being on tour.
