Love, Mary is a 1985 television movie aired on CBS on 8 October 1985 and is based on the true story of Dr. Mary Groda-Lewis who was institutionalized as a young woman but became a doctor after she discovered that she was dyslexic. Child star Kristy McNichol portrayes Dr. Groda-Lews.

As a teenager, Mary is institutionalized and catagorized as slow. Eventually, a counselor there (Rachel Ticotin) realizes that Mary is dyslexic and is offered remediation. She eventually studies at the University of Oregon and becomes a doctor.
