Dorridge is a sub-town in the West Midlands borough of Solihull. It originally grew up around the railway station, which still serves an important role providing easy travel to London and Birmingham, for Dorridge and for numerous local villages such as Knowle, which do not have a train station. It has several facilities including specialist clothes shops, two small supermarkets, at least three churches and also an excellent primary school. The property prices around Dorridge are in general much higher than the average settlement, with a three bedroomed semi costing up to £500,000.

Dorridge is part of the Meridian constituency, MP Caroline Spelman. Dorridge is regarded as a conservative stronghold.
