"This Is Me"
Song

"This Is Me" is the fourth single from Camp Rock, a Disney Channel Original Movie, that is featured on the Camp Rock Soundtrack. [1] It was released on June 17, 2008 on iTunes digital music store for its acoustic full version; however, the original version (on the soundtrack) is not being released independently on iTunes, but it can be purchased as a single track on iTunes from the soundtrack.

The original peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at #9 for the issue dated July 12, 2008.

Song Information

This is the song that Demi Lovato's character, Mitchie Torres, sang in Camp Rock with Joe Jonas's character, Shane Gray. Mitchie wrote the song in the beginning of the movie, and was later heard (in an acoustic version on piano),but not seen, by Shane, who set out to search for the girl behind the amazing voice. After most people performed already in the "Final Jam" session, Mitchie sang the song (original version), and Shane saw her, and he joined in the performance and sang part of the song he wrote, Gotta Find You. The two songs are combined to make the original version, as featured on the soundtrack. The original version of the song samples "We Can Go Anywhere", a song by pop singer Jesse McCartney on his sophomore album Right Where You Want Me.

Radio Disney charting

This is Me debuted at #3 on the chart. It seemed to be rivals with 7 Things by Miley Cyrus, because they switched from #1 to #2 constantly for four weeks. Recently, it lost going to #3 on the chart and not being on the Dot Com Top 3. This is Me has always been in the top 3 on Radio Disney Charting.
