The Schenectady and Susquehanna Railroad was chartered May 5 1836. Construction was completed between Schenectady, and Delanson, New York, a distance of 15 miles (24 km) in 1872.

In 1873, it became the Schenectady and Duanesburg Railroad, and it was leased to the Albany and Susquehanna Railroad in 1903. Template:US-rail-stub
