"Johnny & June"
Song

"Johnny & June" is the debut single of American country music singer Heidi Newfield, the former lead singer of the group Trick Pony. It is the lead-off single from her debut album, What Am I Waiting For.[1]

The song is a mid-tempo in which the female narrator address describes the kind of relationship which she wishes to have — specifically, one comparable to the relationship between singer Johnny Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash:

"I wanna love like Johnny & June
Rings of fire burnin' with you
I wanna walk the line, walk the line
Til the end of time
I wanna love, love you that much
Cash it all in, give it all up
When you're gone, I wanna go too
Like Johnny & June"
