Brett Engelhardt (born August 12, 1980 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin) is an american ice hockey player who plays for the Augsburger Panther of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga at right wing.

Playing career

After playing four seasons with the Michigan Tech Huskies, he began is professional career with the Philadelphia Phantoms organisation. Having started next season in the ECHL, he joins the St Johns Maple Leafs. He followed the team when this one moved in Toronto to become Marlies.

Before the beginning of season 2007-08, he signed a contract with the Detroit Red Wings. He didnt make the team in the training camp and joins the Grand Rapids Griffins. In February 2008, the Red Wings traded him to the Montreal Canadiens for center Francis Lemieux.
