GO TEXAN is a Texas Department of Agriculture marketing initiative that encourages consumers across the state and the world to seek and purchase Texas products first and always. The Texas Department of Agriculture also conducts focused promotional programs for Texas shrimp and Texas wine. In 2003 the program was expanded by the Legislature to include all Texas-made products.

There are several different GO TEXAN marketing programs, including the GO TEXAN Partner Program (GOTEPP), promoting the wide array of Texas products.

The GO TEXAN Rural Community Program is an initiative designed to market and promote rural Texas. TDA's Marketing and Promotion Division works with this program to spotlight rural Texas communities and support and encourage economic opportunities such as rural tourism. In addition, the division assists the Food and Nutrition Division with the promotion of children's nutrition, working closely with schools, teachers, parents and administrators.
