Welcome to my talk page. Please leave me a message below and I will reply on your talk page. Although my email address is enabled, it is not an address I check often (so I may be slow in replying to email). Please also note that while I am glad to do a peer review on just about any article, I do not have the time to do copyedits (sorry). Thanks for stopping by and happy editing! Williamsport Baseball

Will you check this template? When I try to edit it, it says that the template doesn't exist when it obviously does. I need to change the Grays from 1938-1942 to 1924-1942 Dincher (talk) 02:55, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

thanks. I figure out how to edit it, but still can't from the template when it is displayed on the articles. Dincher (talk) 03:08, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Let me know if I addressed your concerns this time.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 07:48, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for striking your opposition. Am I close to a support. I do not see outstanding issues from you remaining. Am I missing something?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 15:08, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Cartography

So, I need to make two maps documenting trips that Mary Shelley took. I thought this would be a good time to learn about mapmaking. Could you offer me some guidance regarding programs, etc.? Thanks! Awadewit (talk) 14:21, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Barnstar

The Guidance Barnstar
For your unflagging help and valuable guidance on many projects, most recently Balch Creek, which made FA today, I award you this barnstar. Finetooth (talk) 02:18, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Fanno PR, autoformats

I always appreciate your input. On the other hand, I see that you are extremely busy, and I don't want to make more work for you. So, how should I put this? I won't be disappointed if you don't comment, but if you do comment, I will take your suggestions seriously.

On another topic, I wanted to mention that I used the autoformatting undo script favored by User:Tony1 on Balch Creek as a test case. It removed the autoformatting from the main text, infobox, and tables OK, but it doesn't change the autoformatting in the citations. For the sake of consistency, I unformatted the citations by hand but put the "accessdate" information outside the cite template, which seemed to yield either a blue link for dates it could autoformat (2008-05-12) or a red link for dates it couldn't handle (May 12, 2008). However, it turns out that substituting "accessdaymonth" and "accessyear" for "accessdate" in the template achieves the same end, no autoformatting. I'm telling you this in case you ever want to try it (if you haven't already). I have not taken part in the pro-con arguments about autoformatting, but I want to be ready to jump in either direction. Finetooth (talk) 03:17, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Good thinking - I was wondering what to do about this conundrum. Ben MacDui 17:48, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I have decided to unlink the dates in articles on which I'm the main contributor, although I may not get around to Johnson Creek and its little friends for a while. When copyediting for someone else moving an article toward FAC, I'll ask the main contributor what he/she would prefer. Fauna of Scotland is now unlinked by my hand. A Barnstar!
The Barnstar of Jainism

I award Ruhrfisch the Barnstar on Jainism. This is a small token of my appreciation for many things – for peer reviewing the article Anekantavada umpteen times, having patience with me, for guiding me and staying till end for GA and FA review. Thank you Ruhrfisch --Anish (talk) 17:59, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Leonard Harrison State Park

The latest additions look good to me. I agree, this one has been going very slowly. But I think it's going well, as far as good content goes. There's no need to hurry up and get bad news at FAC. Do you think we should place the history section first? History is first at Black Mo and Presque Isle, but not World's End. I do think that it's fine as is, but I can live with it either way. We could always wait for PR or FAC to do this. Dincher (talk) 22:59, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. Getting Colton Point, the gorge and the creek up to FA status should be easier after, hopefully, getting this up to FA. I was just looking at Ohiopyle State Park, it along with Oil Creek State Park should also be easy to get to FA, lots of pics and interesting histories. I am sure the recreation section of Oil Creek can be expanded. Dincher (talk) 01:24, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
We can tag team Pine Creek if you want. I should be able to help with history, ecology, etc. Don't know if I'll be much help with the course and that type stuff. Well good night. Dincher (talk) 02:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I think I replied to all of the latest stuff at Leonard Harrison. Lots of good finds. Also Amd194 is getting more active and is seeking help at Ronneburg, Hesse, in case you don't have enough to do! Dincher (talk) 22:26, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

I just uploaded a pic of Leonard Harrison on the commons side. Dincher (talk) 22:38, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Oops. I turns out that was a mistake. It's now uploaded to wikipedia. I think the rationale needs some tweaking. Dincher (talk) 22:59, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing the Harrison template. I like the brownish pic better than the blue. Thanks for checking out the German Castle too. Dincher (talk) 01:54, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

The expanded lead looks good. I will check all of it closer in a bit when I get to work. Dincher (talk) 19:49, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
I am in the middle of reading through it now. It looks very good. You've added lots of good stuff. I specified what Tiagdahton (sp?) was and fixed a spelling error. So far it looks great!
The plans sound good. I think reorganizing it will be good too. I posted some thoughts about the trees on the talk page. Dincher (talk) 22:46, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for getting the nomination in. The new "old" pics look good. Dincher (talk) 01:36, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

I really like the log raft pic. I've seen the one of the man in the stumps before. Dincher (talk) 01:48, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
If you haven't asked already, go ahead. Have fun today! Dincher (talk) 13:50, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Nope, those three should be fine. Dincher (talk) 15:56, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

I think that Leonard is ready for FAC. My schedule at work is full this week, meaning I'll have lots of time to address any issues. Are you ready to go forward? Dincher (talk) 21:31, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. I will be working on the Williamsport baseball articles over the next few days. There is some, but not much good stuff in the Williamsport baseball book by Hunsinger. Dincher (talk) 00:47, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Leonard Harrison State Park has been nominated. I didn't see any new news on your or Moni's talk page. I am going to let her know that I moved it to FAC and any comments etc, would be greatly appreciated. Could you check and make sure I followed all the required steps. I think I did it right. Dincher (talk) 22:26, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Sure. I'll add a bit about the model articles. I forgot about this. Wikiwords like transclude leave be befuddled. I am glad you fixed it! Have a good one. (We've had Drama Mama drama at the old homestead tonight, ugh.) Dincher (talk) 03:14, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
If I was a Drama Mama I would've said that you added the modeled bit to be mean and to hurt my feelings! But I am not, thanks for getting it! I hope this one goes well. Good night again. Dincher (talk) 03:17, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
I know. I like having thick skin. Old Lenny is all yours. Dincher (talk) 03:23, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

I knew that pachyderm's had thick skin but I didn't know that it literally meant think skin. Good luck emailing the park and getting an answer. Have a good day. Dincher (talk) 10:36, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

No problem. I am going to start working on the Williamsport baseball articles tonight. Did you start Leonard Harrison yet? I can't do anywork on it because of the limits on the computers at work. Dincher (talk) 22:28, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello Ruhrfisch, was wondering if I could ask you for a massive favour and have a look at India House. Its been through a c/e, and I thoguht it's ready for a renom (one or two images to add). Would appreciate any comments in the meantime if you had the time. About the peer review

Hi. I want to thank for all your comments regarding my lists (List of number-one Billboard Top Latin Albums of 2000 and List of number-one Billboard Top Latin Albums of 2001). Now I want to know if you have something else to add about them. I just sent again the list for 1999 to the FL.

Thanks again, Jaespinoza (talk) 07:35, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

PR reply

Of course I can review Leonard Harrison. I'm bored and have got nothing to do today. I also sort of ran across your note to Ben MacDui. I noticed the bagpipes too. The BBC has an article that sort of explains. --D.B.talkcontribs 16:28, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Peer reviews

Thanks for your consideration, I think I only saw the four at a time rule, and did them all at once, without noticing the one per day limit. I'll remember that from now on. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 18:31, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Crown Fountain copyedit

I would appreciate a copyedit if the offer is still good.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 05:56, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Your copyedit was helpful, but do you know anything about the x-ft-tall vs. x-ft tall convention that is at issue?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 16:16, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I just reworded to avoid the issue.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 17:11, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Gulen

hi. i think i gradually was able to make quite some modification in the directions you suggested. i do not know much about GNU license, copyright of the images, etc. i do not know how to upload a file and put it to the article page either. i was wondering if it would be possible for you to help me with that. i emailed his official website to upload some pictures of Gulen, but got no answer yet. so, i would appreciate if you can upload some pictures of him and put to the article page: Fethullah Gulen. Some of the pictures i think is important and would prefer to post on the article page can be found here: http://tr.fgulen.com/content/view/12079/14/, http://tr.fgulen.com/content/view/12077/14/. thanks in advance... Orphaned non-free media (Image:Wellsboro_and_Corning_Railroad_Herald.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Wellsboro_and_Corning_Railroad_Herald.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 23:58, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

P.S. The new file Image:Wellsboro and Corning Railroad.jpg was uploaded by User:Jss5104 who also sent it to OTRS, claiming to be an employee of the railroad. howcheng {chat} 00:00, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
This new file seems to be damaged somehow, so I used the .gif in the main article instead. If the .jpg file is fixed, it's probably preferable since it has an explicit OTRS permission as you note, but as it stands it's unusable. Plvekamp (talk) 00:25, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Funny, it looks perfectly fine to me on a completely different machine. howcheng {chat} 03:35, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
