Clara (Clóirtheach or Clárach in Irish) is a town on the River Brosna in County Offaly in the midlands of Ireland.

Clara is situated on national route N80 some 12 km northwest of Tullamore, and has a station on the Dublin to Ballina / Westport / Galway railway line. Clara was once a railway junction, with a branch to Streamstown on the now disused AthloneMullingar link. Clara's most famous citizen is Brian Cowen TD, who has been Minister for Finance for the Republic of Ireland since 2004.
