Kronenberg 1664 is a brand of lager, advertised as originally brewed in [[1664] using the Strisselspalt hop, a type of hop exclusively found in the french region of Alsace. Kronenberg 1664 was eventually released worldwide in 1952 (due to the ascension of Queen Elizabeth II to the british throne.) Since then, a second variety, "Kronenberg Blanc" has also been brewed
