Guide to referencing

Click on "show" on the right of the orange bar to open contents.

The only content was "Puny (sic) Meadows played guitar in the 70's/80's "Glam Band" known as Angel." There's no way that's going to stay on wiki. See WP:BIO and WP:BAND. Articles have to show notability through verifiable independent secondary sources that cover the subject. Provide those and you can restore the article. With the article in your sandbox, you're likely to need a few more sources to substantiate the subject, but it's certainly heading in the right direction. It's always better to use coverage as a reference, rather than in the external links section. Check out the ref guide above. It shows how to use the same reference several times in the article and how to format it. I've done that with Scoop in your sandbox. Ty 06:10, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Make a link to your sandbox on your user page or talk page, as in User:Mickmastor/Sandbox, i.e. with this code:
[[User:Mickmastor/Sandbox]]

You don't have to use the word "Sandbox" to create user sub-pages such as that one. You can use any title, e.g. User:Mickmastor/Draft or User:Mickmastor/Draft 1. Clicking on those will enable you to start new user sub pages.

To write an article, find reliable sources first. Take the info from the sources, but not verbatim - paraphrase. Each time you take some info, cite the source, as in the ref guide above. There is a short cut for second and subsequent cites of the same source, also shown in the ref guide, which shows how to format the citation. The key to keeping articles is sound sourcing.
