Baumholder is a town and a municipality in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated south of the Hunsrück, approx. 10 km south of Idar-Oberstein.

Activities

Baumholder, like most German towns, holds regular festivals throughout the year ranging from "Flohmarkt", or flea markets, to Fasching celebrations where large portions of the streets are closed off.
