Sangam is a Hindi Television Serial that currently airs on one of the most popular TV Channel STAR Plus. It airs from Monday to Thursday at 7:00 PM IST.[1] It stars Jennifer Winget as the protagonist Ganga. Opposite her is Chaitanya Chaudhary who plays Sagar. They both fall in love when they meet in Kundanpur.

The show started to air on 20 August 2007.

Sangam is from Fox Television Studios India on STAR Plus after Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni.

So, Sangam is the story of a girl Ganga, intelligent and ambitious, who believes in following her father's dreams and giving the best to her family. Her parents are her support pillars who unconditionally under any circumstance stand by her and her dreams and she moves ahead to fulfill them. But life makes her put the interests of others before her own aspirations and she emerges heroic. His father dies and the villian marries Ganga. The character's role is very subdued in the fact that the series focuses on her quite a lot and takes things from here point of view. One point of interest is that the character is often seen crying nearly in every single episode. While this may seem over elaborate, producers say it helps to add to the emotion.

Producers at one point were considering of putting a rompy sex scene into the serial to add to emotion and the love between the characters. This was later disgarded as there is a large family audience for the TV series. There have been complaints of the passionate kissing scenes that have taken place, by more sensitive members of the public.
