Igor is a 2008 computer animated comedy film, it is a humorous take on the stock character Igor. The cast includes John Cusack, Sean Hayes, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Eddie Izzard, Paul Vogt, and Molly Shannon. The plot revolves around Igor (voiced by Cusack) and his dreams of winning first place at the Evil Science Fair. The movie opens September 19, 2008.

Story

Igors are usually typecast as foolish and stupid henchmen to the eccentric mad scientists in the fairytale land of Malaria. However, one particular Igor, tired of the mistreatment and stereotyping against him, decides to participate in the Evil Science Fair, a grand display of the creations that the greatest evil scientists invent. In his attempts, he creates something he least expects - life.

Casting

Christian Slater was originally cast as Igor. Jeremy Piven was originally cast as Dr. Schadenfreude.

Production

The film is being produced by Exodus Productions, and the CG animation created by French studio Sparx*[1]. Distribution will be by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (The Weinstein Company is no longer involved.)[2].

The premiere is coming to September 15, 2008 at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
