The "edits" being done by MR T are unorganized and disrupting the article placement on the page and deleting Characterized information Wehrmacht007 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wehrmacht007 (talk • contribs) 22:43, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry i beleive this is a "Character" article and how can 1 sentence discribe a character? Do you know what makes a "Character" a "Character"? And i've spent alot of my free time looking up the "Characters" story (The thing that makes a character a character) from many reliable sources and if anything you happen to be the one taking "Ownership" over this article after all everything i "Acuratly" state on the page happens to be delted by either you "StarScream1007" or "MR T". I'm adding "Character" in formansjon while you and MR T insist on deleting everything on the page i add disrupting the article placement etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wehrmacht007 (talk • contribs) 22:52, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
My god man what an idiot look it up yourself in a dictionary possibly Character and read that aloud to me and then tell me your wrong.

B.O.W.s
Hi, I think you know more about what constitutes a reliable source for Res Evil articles, and was wondering if you'd have a look at this: B.O.W.s (Resident Evil). The article has only one source for its refs, and it looks a bit dubious to me. Would appreciate your opinion. Geoff B (talk) 18:22, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- Didn't think it was a reliable source, no, but wasn't sure. Do you want to get rid of it or shall I do the honours? :-) Geoff B (talk) 06:51, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Silly of me to ask really... :-D Geoff B (talk) 07:00, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:SA56474280 0b951b8c16.jpg
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:SA56474280 0b951b8c16.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Kelly hi! 07:14, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Regarding your hangon comment, yes, that's true that CC licenses are irrevocable. Unfortunately, we have no evidence that the license was ever valid. I strongly suggest uploading flickr images to Wikimedia Commons. They have an upload page specifically for flickr images and if you use it, they will automatically be verified by a bot. You can even use Commons:User:Flickr upload bot to upload your image and the license will be verified right then. If the license is verified, then we accept it no matter what the flickr user does. But if it is uploaded here, we have no evidence that the license was ever valid and have no choice but to delete it. --B (talk) 14:57, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Shadow Jester - quick thing about the Chad Johnson bio
Shadow Jester:
I changed C.J.'s bio back to his being born in L.A., because that's what his NFL bio says his birthplace his, and that's what I heard people in L.A., ESPN, and Fox Sports all say on various different occasions. I think his personal bio cites Miami as his hometown, but not his birthplace.
I could be wrong about this, of course, and if you happen to have better information verifying he was born in Miami, then by all means, please feel free to correct my mistake.
Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.183.202.20 (talk) 14:54, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

tell me, what makes one website "official" as opposed to another? why is it that the external links page of wikipedia clearly states that
What should be linked
3. Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues, amount of detail (such as professional athlete statistics, movie or television credits, INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTS, or online textbooks) or other reasons. 4. Sites with other meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article, such as reviews and INTERVIEWS.

so what you're saying basically is that...just because something doesn't violate a policy and adheres to the rules and ramifications, it may still be incorrect? can you show me where exactly this is documented? is this just unspoken etiquette?

When adding links to material on an external site, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:36, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
You Tube
As you are probably aware, You Tube has recently come under fire in respect of its use of copyrighted works, because of this a review of You Tube linking from enwiki is under way.
It is noted that you linked to a number of You Tube videos from your user page. Sadly the (C) status for some of those video is doubtful or unclear. In general linking to material whose (C) Status is ambiguous, unclear or unconfirmed is highly discouraged on Wikipedia as reflects badly on both the project and the contributor.
If you are not the copyright owner in respect of the videos linked (including any music, screen-shots or computer generated content), please consider reading both (WP:EL) as well as You Tube's Terms and conditions.
If you don't own the copyright to the footage in entirety you should NOT upload it on You Tube either.
If you are indeed the copyright owner in entirety for the linked videos, please confirm this (via OTRS or appropriate means) for each and every video linked, and mention this in respect of the link(s) concerned. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:38, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

WHAT!?!?!?!?
What's so "unsourced" about the Rich Harden Cubs image? I sourced it! A link back to the page that I got it from.
Plus, that image is clearly outdated, it's him in an Oakland Athletics uniform. Since he's a Chicago Cub now, he needs a Cub image in his page. Get back at me please. Silversword55 (talk) 05:37, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

- Dude, 47K. what makes you think I'm NOT a deletionist? I am. I just deleted all the stuff that any good deletionist would object to. the article's now far more balanced than before, thoug hI suspect a lot more real world content about the real musicians and creators could be added. - please review my argument for redirect to avoid forking on the talk page there. thank you. ThuranX (talk) 21:51, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
I did read many of those before. Look I also read many character articles that were not perfect but were good enough to stay. So that's what I did I took the information of the characters that was deleted and put it into articles that were well enough written and organized to stay in wikipedia without being deleted. A lot of people will read the articles and try to improve them and update when is necessary. An article doesn't have to be perfect once is created that's why is put in wikipedia the edit free encyclopedia. Please give these characters a chance. I think you can agree that is better for them to have their own pages rather overcrowding one page. Besides it wold be sad that supporting characters get greater coverage than them. Look I think as of now the articles have some flaws but they are good enough for Wikipedia. User:N.Flen
But doesn't that ruin the point of Wikipedia.User:N.Flen

Ghost Hunters
Sorry about removing your tag, but had you waited more than 2 seconds I was going to put it back. I didn't realize I deleted it. I just deleted all the GHI bullshit like "Brian left the show!" just becuase he missed half of one episode doesn't mean he's gone, and I'm sick of those who draw their own conclusions without verification. Plus what happens on GHI should be on the GHI article not here. Also, headers only have the first letter capitalized unless of course there is a name or title in the header. So it should be Season one, Season two, etc. Thats the way I've seen it done. Cyberia23 (talk) 17:00, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Resident Evil 5
I understand there is no official citation from Capcom that refers to Sheva as African despite the way she looks as well as her African accent but as I have mentioned on the discussion page there has been no “official” citations that makes it more valid for Chris Redfield to be labeled white or Caucasian. If no official citation to Chris Redfield being Caucasian can be found would you then feel it would also be valid to remove the label from the Article? Siddhartha21 (talk) 18:13, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Donovan McNabb references
I have again removed the refimprove tag from the Donovan McNabb article. The article has 14 references already, which probably puts it in the 95th percentile of references per article, and no explanation is offered as to what references need to be improved. While every single article on Wikipedia would benefit from better referencing, applying the tag without labeling and identifying your specific issues of concern is not likely to address your issues. I would suggest that you label the specific items that require sources and elaborate on these issues on the article's talk page. Alansohn (talk) 18:04, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Merge problems
I wanted to point out some possible problems with the merge proposal you made. For instance on the page for Airazor, this article is covering three different characters named Airazor, only one of which was in Beast Wars. The other two were in Transformers: Armada and Transformers: Timelines. Also, the Beast Wars character appeared in other series besides the Beast Wars TV show, she appeared in comics, text stories released by the company, etc. If anything you might want to merge the opposite way, and make the "list of beast wars characters" a simple list with links, and remove any pictures from it, merely linking to the main articles which are more detailed. No need to deplicate information that's already on the main pages for the fictional characters. Mathewignash (talk) 09:22, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, then I propose that the page List of Beast Wars characters be merged into the various pages that it draws info from. Mathewignash (talk) 09:29, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, the List of Beast Wars characters page duplicates the information on the other pages for Airazor, Cheetor, etc. Maybe it should be narrowed to a simple list and all the information about the character be on the pages for those characters. Mathewignash (talk) 09:38, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Urlachergc.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Urlachergc.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 02:21, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Anya-mug.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Anya-mug.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:05, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Vince Young should be added to the list. As for finding an article that STATES he was injured/replace BECAUSE of the madden curse, get out of here. Just because the ESPN article doesn't mention the curse doesn't mean he wasn't cursed. He should be included.
