Velammal Engineering College (VEC), established in 1995 , is located in Chennai, India. The College is managed by Velammal Education Trust, which was founded in 1986.

VEC is an institution which has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated to Anna University, South India. The College is an ISO 9002 certified institution as of June 2002.

Currently, the College functions from its campus located on Ambattur-Red Hills Road, in the neighborhood of Chennai, and offers graduate and post-graduate courses in a number of disciplines.
