The Sierra Railroad, founded in 1897 to connect the Central Valley to the Gold County. The Sierra continues to haul freight, carry passengers, and make Hollywood movies.

The Dinner Train offers romantic dinners, fun murder mysteries, lunches, Sunday brunches, wild west shows, and wine tasting.

The rails of the Sierra Railroad are used by Railtown 1897.
