This film does NOT take place in Central City
Whoever keeps adding Central City into this and other entries from the Planet of the Apes films is just plain wrong. Central City is not from the movies--it's from the TV show. This film takes place in California, at the Ape Management Complex. That information was corrected, but someone else came and put back the Central City bits--which are wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rassmguy (talk • contribs) 01:16, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
I agree. Nowhere in the movie or any official transcript do they specify the name of the city in Conquest... It's called "The Forbidden City" in Battle... but I doubt that's what it was called before the nuclear holocaust. "Central City" is a name exclusive to the TV series and refers specifically to the Ape's city. However, there's nothing to imply that the Command Post is the same division as Ape Management. Though not specified, I would imagine the Command Post oversees all other executive divisions of the government including Ape Management, Riot Control, etc. 20.132.64.141 (talk) 19:54, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Sculldog
No Pets
I must admit I haven't seen the movie yet, but a virus wipes out dogs and cats, so now humans don't have "any" pets? What about birds, fish, lizards, or any other animal besides cats or dogs? This is a ludicrous premise.
Can any of those animals actually *do* anything useful for humans? Or provide actual companionship? The answer is no. I admit that I love my Bearded Dragon Stompy, but I won't deny she's little more then a chemical machine that eats, basks, shits and makes little dragons. Animals like those are more like glorified decorations then proper pets.
Regardless of wether you find the premise "ludicrous" or not, (nevermind the premise of the *entire series* is ludicrous), this is not a messageboard to broadcast your opinions. Talk pages are there to discuss changes to improve the article, so take your opinions to IMDB or something if you don't have anything to contribute. 01:33, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- The premise is that HUMAN SOCIETY DECLINES AND APES ARE USED AS SLAVES. Once some people who used apes as pets (for sure the minority) saw their potential, it snow balled from there "apes for all!".

Does the original ending footage still exist?
Haven't seen it on any recent Conquest DVD's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.2.90.61 (talk) 14:04, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes--the original ending will be out this Fall on a special Blu-Ray release.
Cleaning up the Paradox Section
The Paradox section reads terribly and needs to be re-organized. Also, it doesn't address the fact that in Zira and Cornelius's interrogation in Escape..., they maintain that an ape named Aldo (not specifically a gorilla) says "No." four hundred years after the plague arrives on Earth. Either that history was also fabricated without them knowing or the birth of Caesar had accelerated the ape revolt by four centuries. Also, there are two apes named Aldo in Conquest...: The chimpanzee being beaten by police in the beginning and the gorilla beating Governor Breck at the end - who presumably becomes General Aldo in Battle.... It should be reflected that these are two seperate apes. In any case, "the class is ended! The schoolroom is closed! Now we go back to riding HORSES!!!" 20.132.64.141 (talk) 19:47, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Sculldog
