Askey–Wilson polynomials
Appearance
In mathematics, the Askey-Wilson polynomials are the polynomials
where φ is a basic hypergeometric function and x = cos(θ).
They were introduced by Askey & Wilson (1985) as q-analogues of the Wilson polynomials.
