Tushhan was a northern Asyrian city and province in the upper Tigris river valley, on the south bank. It was inhabited since Mittani period, and during the Iron Age. Is identified with the modern Ziyaret Tepe, Batman province, Turkey, where the archaeological survey is directed by the Akron University.
