Prospekt's March is an upcoming EP by English alternative rock band Coldplay, slated to be released in November 2008.[1] Chris Martin, lead singer for Coldplay, announced the release of the EP during an interview with Steve Lamacq and R.E.M. leader Michael Stipe on 31 August 2008.[3] The EP will feature several tracks left over from the studio sessions for Coldplay's fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.[4]

Track listing

Coldplay confirmed five songs for Prospekt's March on 3 October 2008, all of which had not been completed when Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends was released.[1] The playlist was changed to eight songs on 5 October.[5] The song "Lhuna" (with Kylie Minogue), which had been confirmed previously to appear on the EP,[2][6] is no longer included. The confirmed tracks are:[5]

  1. "Life in Technicolor II"
  2. "Postcards from Far Away"
  3. "Glass of Water"
  4. "Rainy Day"
  5. "Prospekt's March/Poppy Fields"
  6. "Lost+"
  7. "Lovers in Japan (Osaka Sun Mix)"
  8. "Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground"

Cover

At the time the track listing was announced, Coldplay said that the cover would be another Eugène Delacroix painting (similar to the cover art for Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends).[1]
