"17 Again" is a song recorded by pop music duo Eurythmics. It was written and co-produced by band members Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart. The song appears on the duo's Peace album and was released as the second single in the UK in early 2000.
Peace was the first album released by Eurythmics in nearly a decade and the feelings of renewal and musical creativity between Lennox and Stewart are clearly referenced in "17 Again"'s lyrics. Reminiscing about the duo's long-standing career in pop music, the song mentions "fake celebrities", "vicious queens", "the stupid papers and the stupid magazines" and makes the conclusion that "sweet dreams are made of / anything that gets you in the scene". The closing of "17 Again" contains an interpolation of 1982's "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)".
"17 Again" peaked at number twenty-seven on the UK singles chart. In the U.S. there was no single, but promotional-only remixes were issued for nightclubs. "17 Again" became the first Eurythmics song to hit number one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.
The song was featured in a season four episode of the American television series Will & Grace. The episode, titled "Bed, Bath, & Beyond", revolved around Grace's depression over a breakup with Nathan. The song plays at the end of the episode when she starts to move on, with the support of her close friends.
He was also featured in season two of the American television series Charmed , in the episode titled "How to Make a Quilt Out of Americans" ( 2.17 ) .
