Brazil's Next Top Model, Cycle 2 is the second cycle of Brazil's Next Top Model.
It premiered on September 4 2008, with a 1-hour premiere. For the first time, the show will have am international destination during this cycle, which will be Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The winner of this cycle will win a R$ 200,000 contract, management and representation by Ford Models for 4 years, a new 0km car, and a cover and six-page fashion spread in Vogue Brasil.
This cycle features 13 contestants, similar to the past cycle.
Episode Summaries
Episode 1
Original Airdate: September 4 2008
In the first episode, the public attends the choice of the 13 finalists of the reality show. The host Fernanda Motta, and the judges, Érika Palomino, Duda Molinos and Dudu Bertholini decide who follows in the competition, after a separate interview with the 20 selected participants. After the removal of first 4 girls, the remaining 16 did a photoshoot for a campaign against breast cancer, with their breasts showing.

Episode 2

The girls received tips from designer Amir Slama, creator of the "Rosa Chá", one of the most important Brazilian brands. The reward challenge the girls having 5 minutes to mount a look with the clothes of the other candidates, without any kind of communication. Flávia Giu was criticised for her choice. Isabel won the challenge and received a dress and a dinner in the restaurant "Chakras" with 3 more friends as a reward. She chose Alinne, Malana and Marianna to join her.
The photoshoot was based on horror movies and each girl received a different makeup from that kind of film. They should represent three specific personalities: sexy, evil and scared. Isabel once again tried to gave up in the middle of the photoshoot, which was named "big mistake" during the panel. Alinne's and Dayse's pictures were praised by the judges as the best ones, and Flavia Gle was considered the most improvement compared to last week. In the end, Luana was eliminated for not being able to use her great personality in hers photos.

Episode 3

The girls were brought to the hall EV for the makeovers. Marianna enter into despair by the color of their hair, a fact severely criticized by both Pazzeto, as the judges. The photoshoot was in couples, where one of the girls embody a mechanical and the other a snob. Alinne, Elly and Priscilla were praised by the resourcefulness in the face cameras, while Isabel, and Rebecca not changed. In the first runway lesson with Namie Wihby, Flávia Gleichmann and Malana were harshly criticized for their performances, while Rebeca was warned about making nozzle with the mouth.
At panel, Flávia Giussani was praised for his attitude and Alinne to maintain their level in the photos. Moreover, the couples (Priscilla and Isabel, Malana and Flávia Gleichmann, Flávia Giussani and Maíra, Marianna and Elly, Carolline and Rebecca, Alinne and Dayse) had to opinions about who removed the performance in Photoshoot. In the end, Isabel was eliminated by the lack of interest in the fashion world.

Episode 4

The girls continue the runway's lessons with Namie Wihby, who teach about various types of Runway, going from the androgen bold. The challenge will disclose a lipstick Avon in the runway, while carrying 03 dogs in one hand, and the product on the other. The winner was Priscila, who taken a shopping voucher valued at R$ 1500.00. Dayse complains of comments from judges, especially from Fernanda Motta, which bothers most of the girls. Rebeca already enter into conflict when they realize that can not evolve in the competition.
In the photoshoot, the girls participate in the João Machado's plastic art and are clicked dressing organic food, such as squid, pig ears, beef and raw salmon. Dayse goes wrong, what is evident in his photo. Pazzeto also criticizes the fact that the girl can not exaggeration. At panel, Malana, Elly, Carol, Priscila and Maíra are evolving gradually in the opinion of the jury, while Alinne and Flávia Giussani had a setback: one by exaggerating, another to lose confidence. Dayse was once again criticized for not receiving good feedback from the judges. In the end, Marianna has been criticized for not letting the dogma of the pretty girl, but was Flávia Giussani who was eliminated by not showing attitude in your photos.

Episode 5

To learn the rules of life model, in the midnight, the modeletes are summoned by soldiers to the challenge of the week: join a military training in the style of the brazilian film, Elite Troop (in portuguese, Tropa de Elite). In the barracks, they must prove, among classes of ballet with the choreographer Laís Correa, be disciplined and had ability to overcome. In the final challenge, the girls must to go through a sequence of physical exercise and following with three clicks, should take a fashion photo. Alinne feel strong muscle pain due to have an intramedullary nail, taken after an accident in 02 years. Despite this, completed the race with praise, and, together with Priscila and Carolline, won the challenge, and as a prize, led an afternoon at the Kyron Spa. The other day, Namie Wihby still teaching the parade in different kinds of catwalks, and to relax the muscles before Photoshoot, the girls took a yoga class with Mauro Giuselli using the new kit Nívea My Silhouette.
After an entertaining message from Pazzeto, girls are informed by Fernanda Motta it the lead this week and that the Photoshoot will be quite fun: will be clicked as giants based on the famous Pin-ups of 50's before sights of the city of São Paulo City. Malana and Maíra are criticized for lack of resourcefulness in front of the camera by chad, that even showing pictures and positions, it noted the same trend. Élly and Carolline comment and the difficulty of being exhausted because of the shooting challenge. Once in the house, the girls receive a visit from the fashion designer Juliana Jabour, which gives them tips on how to submit in a gosee.
At panel, Élly, Rebecca and Dayse are praised by developments since the beginning of the program, which is visible in the photo. Priscila and Alinne are criticized for being too stagnant and Malana for not bringing her spirit into the session. Maíra and Flávia Gleichmann are criticized for similar situations: the first does not know to make expression and the second is too exaggerated and had a strange picture. Marianna and Carolline were the bottom 2 for being unable to demonstrate attitude, expression and personality in the photos. Upon evaluation excluvise a last photoshoot, Carolline was sent home.

Episode 6

To commemorate the Centenary of Japanese Immigration in Brazil, the week was a tribute to land of the rising sun. After the girls recives a Fernanda's Mail talking about the people who formed Brazil, the 09 models go through a workshop on Japanese culture and fashion stylist with Erika Ikezili which serves as the inspiration for the challenge of the week: participe in Erika's Runway Fashion Show, using the guetta, Japanese wooden clog, which is a leap that is in the middle of the feet and makes it difficult to balance. After the challenge, Pazzeto gives tips for Maíra and Flávia Gleichmann, ignoring Rebecca, who also was harshly criticized and feel excluded by it. Dayse and Elly, winning the challenge, won a dinner with two friends (Maíra and Malana) japanese restaurant Shintori.
Dayse, with his bad atitude, generates anger of the girls, mainly Alinne and Marianna. His behavior is also reviewed by Namie, who once again refers to the girl as arrogant. In Photoshoot, the girls will have to be super-heroines of manga, suspended to 10 feet high by wires, which caused much discomfort. The vast majority can develop good photos, pricipalmente Maíra, who finally succeeds in facial expressions, and Marianna, which developed the body language. Elly goes wrong and sell down by fear of heights, which is evident in his photo.
On Judge-Room, the judges said that Rebecca finally able to take a picture without making "beak", Maíra to show facial expressions and for Malana's softness. Dayse received a principal criticizes the lack of repertoire fashion in the photos and Priscilla and Alinne to be losing its potential and disappearing in the competition. Elly is once again remembered as a great high fashion model, but bad for commercial, especially for not having a natural beauty. In the end, Fernanda eliminates Flávia Gleichmann for lack of feminism in her photos and subtleness.

Episode 7

The girls go through a workshop with Fernando Torquatto, which teaches them pose and various types of facial expressions. In the end, the girls receive a message a Érika Palomino's Mail, inviting to visit the "House of Palomino". There, the girls put what they learned into practice taking three pictures, showing a sense. Alinne leads to better and win, win Cocci's clothes and an interview for the site's "House of Palomino." In the interval between the challenge, Maíra is annoyed by Dayse spend all the time complaining and justifying their mistakes. The night, Fernanda appears in the house for dinner and explain to the girls about their career, give you special tips for each.
In Photoshoot, girls are dressed by the fashion designer Fabricio Maia and should pose with the actress and model Bia Schmidt with the theme of constraste of age and have the challenge of, beyond the interact with anyone outside the fashion world, should br more sobresair than someone from the art world. The next day, Namie teaches techniques to speed on the runway and warns that girls should get three pictures with a digital camera and display on the panel.
At panel, the judges (with the absence of Erica) says the best picture of the mini-challenge is to Rebecca, Priscilla and Dayse. The three managed to show more expressiveness. In the photos Photoshoot, Elly was criticized for lack of concentration and not interact with Bia. Already Malana, Aline and Dayse, and embody the character, were focused and ready. Priscilla can restore the luster of previous sessions and presents the best picture of the group, while Maíra continues progressing, but suffers from lack of confidence. Rebecca is criticized for not transmitting the briefing which was requested and Malana honor by visible progress. Elly and Rebecca go to the bottom 2 by the lack of concentration at the time of shooting, but in the end, Rebecca is eliminated because it was not as complete as Elly.

The models visit the "Osklen's" store and know the fashion designer Oskar Metsavaht's creations , which explains the entire process of creating the brand and of parts of the summer season of 2008/2009. As a challenge, should, using the chotles, simulating a casting for a runway fashion. Malana and Elly were praised by the choice of clothes and the attitude, as Alinne was identified as the worst performance because her exaggeration. At night, the girls accompanying the shoots of Fernanda Motta for the nacional Cori's campaign, who the judge Dudu Bertholini is the designer. Mariana criticizes food's buying from the week. She also commented on the various negative feedbacks he receives from judges, who would not notice its evolution in the competition. At panel, the judges praised the development of all girls, which in many pictures of the photoshoot are shown how much more mature. Elly and Priscilla have been identified as the best of the night, with photos that showed the side sexy, sensitive and glamorous; Maíra was identified as the one that was able to touch contenporaneo photo; Marianna by demonstrating remain, despite slowly, some progress; Alinne once again failed to bring the good performance of the first week; Malana was criticized for being over the top and feel like she is already the winner, despite her picture was the weaker of the bench and Dayse by once again back to the lack of fashion's repertoire and not bring the photo features fashion.
Priscilla was warned by jury for thinness, as indicated by the girls to be taking anorexia's attitude. In the backstage, she demanded of the girls for making gossip. All confirmed that they have spoken many times to her in front the cameras, which have a hip placed much higher than the other (98 cm) and feel fat. Marianna remembere Ana Paula Bertola (Cycle 1) also had the same measures and stayed in second place. Back from the Judge Room, Malana was the bottow 2 for not demonstrate humility, however Alinne, in a shocking elimination, was set home for, despite being a consistent model, failed to maintain the good performance and not evolve.

After a workshop about acting, the girls were tested for a TV commercial, speaking in spanish. Priscila wins the challenge, getting as a reward one dinner in a famous restaurant with two friends, and a commercial with Fernanda Motta about breast cancer. The girls then were styled as men for their photoshoot, and had to pose in pairs with working models, portraying a sexy couple. Mariana Richardt from Cycle 1 makes an appearance as one of the models. Priscila, Élly and Maíra are praised during their photoshoots. Malana was said to be too masculine, even though they were suppose to look feminine. Marianna was criticized for looking like a girl, and focusing too much on looking pretty, while Dayse couldn't make a connection with her partner.
At panel, Malana redeems herself from her cockiness during last judging, by opening up. Maíra and Priscila get great praise from the judges, thanks to their development. Dayse and Marianna both got the worst critiques, since they didn't get into the character, and didn't work with their partners. After deliberation, the judges decided to send Marianna home, since she's been criticized for the same reason since the beggining of the competition, and still, didn't let her model side show through.
