Recorded date

Hi, I think that we should leave the "Recorded" section in the infobox blank because we dont know when he started recording for this album. it was initially going to be released in 2007 so it could have been part-recorded in late 2006. Also we dont even know if the recorded tracks are going to be kept. I personally think that he will scrap it and start a new album for the title Before I Self Destruct. So what do ya think? --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 14:32, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just added it based on what we know at the moment. Also, this album was not going to be released in 2007, Curtis is to be released in 2007, he just decided to rename the 2007 album, it was originally "Before I Self Destruct", then he renamed it to "Curtis". He decided to use this title for his 2008 album. Anything could happen, that is why the "Future Album" template is here, and if something does happen, then we can always change it. --- Realest4Life 14:38, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In the track "The End Of My Career" (An excerpt of a radio interview) 50 Cent says the following (exactly):
Wowww that took some time. So anyway yeah he says that "Before I Self Destruct" was gonna be his thrid album but then he started "Curtis" and made that his third album. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 14:53, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Damn, so that Curtis page was wrong, I'll have to change some stuff now, including the recorded date for Curtis, and info about the changing of the album's name, can you please give me the link to see his interview? --- Realest4Life 15:01, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um, I've got it on my comp its from a mixtape. Ill try and upload it somewhere and send a link. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 15:09, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube? --- Realest4Life 15:10, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Here, Ive uploaded it to RapidShare for now-(Link). --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 15:15, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
All right thanks. --- Realest4Life 16:56, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article

I've added this information into the article. I know the reference given is not ideal but it is better than nothing for now. If somebody can upload the file that I uploaded (See Links above) to YouTube, that would be a better source to give. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 15:41, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article looks much better now, before it was pretty much 2-3 sentences. --- Realest4Life 16:56, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Songs

Is there any recorded song announced to be in this album yet. --Football97 16:48, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not any that I have heard of, I personally think that 50 Cent will scrap this album and start again. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 16:51, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously not, it is supposed to be released a year from now. --- Realest4Life 17:16, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What, He obviously wont start again or there obviously isnt a track confirmed? --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 17:17, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously there are no confirmed tracks, sorry for not being clear. --- Realest4Life 17:51, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh lol, no worries I just wasn't sure --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 20:48, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This album is coming out this year

on 106 and park on BET fif said he is gonna try to release his next album by the end of this year on the "clash of the titans" episode.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deananoby2 (talkcontribs)

Two albums in one year? Wow. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 00:44, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He is trying to get out of his contract with interscope supposedly, becuz after the album in this article it will be a greatest hits album and he can move on from interscope.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deananoby2 (talkcontribs)
Yeah I know about him trying to leave Interscope. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 14:07, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
While on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, he said 'Before I Self Destruct' will be out around March 2008. He also said that it will include a Feature with Kanye West. Believe it or not. [1] [2] --DiehardDanny 17:25, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Info added. --Ayoleftyz 18:23, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also on a fairly new episode of Tha Corner the host said that Before I Self Destruct would be out by the end of the year but it may of been a mistake and he could of meant 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.233.245.33 (talk) 00:10, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"The Mechanic"

If you got a special edition copy of curtis from Target fif siad this track will be on there — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.219.219.208 (talkcontribs)

Akon

In an article i was reading it has an interview with Akon and it goes on to mention that fif and akon will collaborate again on their upcoming albums together. Could this be metioned i do have hte source if you would like it. Trimy67 06:10, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw this to, put the source here and I'll handle it. --Ayoleftyz 06:22, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I found the source and added it and info to the article. --Ayoleftyz 06:34, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release

He should push this back to 2009 to promote curtis more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.71.35.133 (talkcontribs)

But it has nothing to do with the article. This is not a place for random forum-based discussions. Woop-Woop That's the sound of da Police 22:16, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The mechanic is a mixtape track, so serous is a freestyle track on the smack DVD, feel good is a mixtape G-UNIT track not a 50 Cent one, im leavin is a mixtape track, bottom girl is a mixtape track, dont wanna talk about it is a track on the new G-UNIT albu, party aint over is a track on the new G-UNIT album wanna lick is a promo track. you are clearly wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by N-G-50 (talkcontribs) 05:04, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Last release

Nowhere on that link does it say that this will be his last release —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.219.238.145 (talk) 17:09, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

March Release

Totally incorrect. Leave it as TBA for now. Cmon people think here for a second —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trimy67 (talkcontribs) 01:41, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He stated March 08, that's what we leave it for now. --JpGrB 01:51, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This needs to be put as TBA. It's March 11th and no talk of an album drop has occurred. The fact that no promotion for the album has occurred either gives all clues as to this release being TBA. The only thing dropping is the mixtape, Elephant In The Sand. (216.88.246.140 (talk) 05:23, 11 March 2008 (UTC))[reply]
I agree. I also checked with music shops such as HMV, and there is no pre-orders for 'Before I Self Destruct'. I highly doubt that the fouth album will be released this month. I have changed the release date back to TBA, as we are not exactly sure when the album is arriving, as most may agree. We cannot guarentuee March as the album's release date, as people may very well believe, and later turns out the March '08 release may be false. Has anyone else got any views on this ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iconmike2007 (talkcontribs) 23:35, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well i think that he has done very little promotion for it for a reason. He wants this record to be more separate from the mainstream and back to his dark roots so it would complete the feel of the album if it wasnt promoted that much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Parralax (talkcontribs) 22:40, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That has to be one of the worse reasonings I've heard. 50 Cent is one of Interscopes best selling artists. Who would honestly think they would not promote him? Even if 50 didn't want that they would overrule him and promote it. Plus a street single as well as the lead single would have dropped two months ago. Please guys use common sense here, its not dropping in March.(216.88.246.140)
Sorry for stating a possible reason ): Anyways now that the last music release day of March has past its now impossible for a March release date.Parralax (talk) 01:42, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change Relased to Release or Release Date

Released 4th quarter of winter 2008 does not make sense because the album has not been released yet (duhh) i tried changing it to release date, but in doing that, it deleted the whole that whole part I was trying to fix. I also tried to make it release, but the same thing happened. The album should be released on 12-9-08 cuz it sayz dat on "50 for President". Xosder43 (talk) 21:46, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Xosder43[reply]

Image.

The image that is up at the time of this posting looks to be fake. I'm not sure. I haven't looked anywhere else yet though. If someone could prove it to be true? --JpGrB 00:40, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Film.

According to a post on Thisis50.com, he's filming a movie for this album too. I'm not sure if this is reliable enough, which is why I'm adding it here first. --JpGrB 04:54, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Film is to be released on the same date as the album Dec 9 here : http://thisis50.com/profiles/blog/show?id=784568%3ABlogPost%3A7822550&page=25#comments —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.77.232.188 (talk) 14:54, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First Single?

Any news on it yet? There should be 1 now if it comes out December 9th —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.175.253.244 (talk) 14:33, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1st single may be titled "50 For President" --Nyj1218 (talk) 01:29, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

" 50 for president " is a mixtape promotional sample not a single from album —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.76.231.207 (talk) 20:44, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The 1st single is titled "See Me Bleedin'" it has already been anounced, and it has been leaked on the internet using "Before I Self Destruct" as the album's name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.247.21.241 (talk) 08:11, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

After listening to "50 For President" I no longer believe the song will be a single or even on the album.--Nyj1218 (talk) 16:53, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See Me Bleegin is not a 50 cent song - http://www.myspace.com/jangelmusic —Preceding unsigned comment added by Empororllid (talkcontribs) 20:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See Me Bleedin' has been confirmed to be on the album, but not as an early single, although it will be a single. A video of the song is in the works. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.247.21.241 (talk) 04:44, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See me bleeding doesn't sound like it's a song from 50. Even though he does say that he's 50 Cent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.247.21.241 (talk) 04:48, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

50 for pres sounds like it could be an intro for the album, or a song off a mixtape. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.247.21.241 (talk) 04:52, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Song titled "Get Up" produced by Swizz hit the net today. Possible single maybe street single —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.84.32.46 (talk) 22:11, 7 October 2008 (UTC) Taking credit for what I just wrote about "Get Up"; I wasn't signed in.--Nyj1218 (talk) 22:14, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it's "Get up" Prod by Scott Storch full version released on thisis50.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.0.166.81 (talk) 11:28, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tracklisting Please

Surely by now there should be a tracklisting or at least Confirmed tracks added to the page —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apawk (talkcontribs) 15:52, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is only one or two tracks confirmed. And a table or some other sort of mention in their own section looks very sloppy and unencyclopedic. --HELLØ ŦHERE 22:16, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
