Requests for IP check

  • Vandal and attack accounts may be listed here for the purpose of identifying and blocking the underlying IP address or open proxy. Requests to confirm sockpuppets of known users should be listed in the sockpuppet section above.
  • If you already know the IP address of the suspected open proxy, list it at Wikipedia:Open Proxies instead.
  • Use === Subsections ===; do not create subpages.
  • List user names using the {{checkuser|username}} template. Add new reports to the top of the section.
  • Requests may be acted on or declined according to the discretion of the checkuser admins. Responses will be noted here. Specific evidence of abuse in the form of diffs may be required so as to avoid the impression of fishing for evidence.
  • Answered requests will be moved to Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/IP check/Archive for 7 days, after which they will be deleted. No separate archive (other than the page history) will be maintained.

Thank you for dealing with that. Even though the accounts are easily blocked, i figured after some 4 months of this nonsense, this will teach the person(s) that these continous attacks will not be tolerated. Northsaintpaulresident

See other socks. Northsaintpaulresident is the sock name we've given to this user. Recent SPA vandal on my talk page Special:Contributions/Hyljlkjsl looks like the same editor who has moved my user page before history and harrassed on talk [1] [2]. Need to check newest user against IP. Would request to ban the IP itself as such to prevent any future incidents per SPAs. davumaya 22:18, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Per Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/LaRaikousei, requesting CU to find source IP for IP or IP range block, and identification of any sleeper socks. Unfortunately, the latest IP block was ineffective as a new account has appeared. I wonder if my blocks of the sub-accounts messed up the IP block. Can a recheck be done? -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:37, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
