Hey Monday

Hey Monday (formerly Blake) is a rock/powerpop band from West Palm Beach, Florida, United States. The band consists of Cassadee Pope (lead vocals), Jersey Moriarty (bass guitar), Mike Gentile (lead guitar), Alex Lipshaw (rhythm guitar), and Elliot James (drums). The band was first discoverd by Alex William of A&R Website Crazed Hits [1] [2] before signing to Columbia Records and Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz's label, Decaydance Records. Their debut album Hold on Tight hits stores worldwide on October 7th, 2008.[3] Their 1st single off the album "Homecoming" was featured on the CitizensFOB mix-tape. Lead singer Cassadee was also featured in the song "Take My Hand" by The Cab on the mixtape.

Hey Monday was the opening band for The Cab's headlining tour "Why So Serious? Tour" in September 2008.[4] They were joined by This Providence and A Rocket to the Moon. In October and November Hey Monday were again the opener for The Academy Is... and We the Kings' co-headlining national tour called "Bill & Trav's Bogus Journey Tour" joined by Carolina Liar.[5] It kicked off October 1st, 2008 and ends on November 23, 2008.
