Godzilla

Monster film series from Japan.

Godzilla was originally a radioactively mutated dinosaur, it died at the end of the orginal 1954 film and subsequent entries in the series were in fact an identical monster (needs a better explanation).

Films have been made over the last 5 decades, each reflecting the climate in Japan.

All but 1 of the 20 films were produced by Toho, the last was made and set in the United States by the makers of Idependence Day (ID4) and is widly disregarded by most Godzilla fans.
