David Vitter (born May 3 1961), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 19, representing the 1st District of Louisiana. He was born in New Orleans, was educated at Harvard University, Oxford University (Rhodes Scholar) and Tulane University, and was a lawyer and member of the Louisiana House of Representatives before entering the House.
