EMD Demonstrator GP35s #5652 and 5654 were built in July and August of 1963 respectively. These two units were part of the GP35/DD35/DD35/GP35 Demonstrator set for Union Pacific. Production of GP35s started in October 1963 with Atlantic Coast Line #909-914.
