Maniowy Polish pronunciation: [[] Audio file "a" not found is a village in southern Poland situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship about 19 km east of Nowy Targ. It is a base for Czorsztyn Gmina since 1993. Located on the southern slopes of Gorce Mountains, Maniowy was built in 1970-1980s after having been moved from an area, upon which Czorsztyn Lake now stretches. The history of old village located upon Dunajec River reached back to 1326 when it was founded during colonisation of Podhale region. Present village has a modern architecture of houses with several big solids of buildings (for example Saint Nicolas Church or a gym hall) and is inhabitated by over 2000 people. Neighbouring forests, mountains, lake, ski lifts and national parks are a great tourist attraction in each season of the year.
