The Circus Starring: Britney Spears is the seventh concert tour by American singer-songwriter Britney Spears to support her sixth studio album, Circus[1].

Background

Shortly after the New York radio station Z100 premiered her new song, "Womanizer", Spears made a surprise appearance on the show and announced she would be going on a worldwide tour in spring of 2009 to support the album, and that rehearsals with Wade Robson would begin in January for a March kick off.[2] The tour was officially announced on December 2, 2008 to coincide with the album's release.
