Nili District

Nili is a district in Daykundi Province, Afghanistan. It was created in 2005 from Daykundi district. The main village, Nili, is also the capital of Daykundi Province. It is situated at 2,022 m altitude. There is an airport (heliport) with a gravel runway and a commercial radio station. The weather conditions in the winter are severe and the roads are difficult.

Now the Afghan National Television has also started broadcasting their programs. Nili shares long borders with volatile district of Gezab which is under influence of the Taliban. The main villages of Nili are, Dasht, Sari Nili, Pai Nili,Ghudar, Qol Qadir, Qom Ahmad Baeg, Ijdi, Shish, Kohna Deyh and .Sangmom
