Korel Tunador is the touring saxophonist/keyboardist/guitarist for The Goo Goo Dolls' Let Love In summer tour with the Counting Crows. He has previously worked as a touring guitarist with Wicked Wisdom, and plays bass and other instrumentation on Pop Music United, the forthcoming science fiction album from L.A.'s Paul Avion. In the mid 1990s he joined legendary Boston funksters Shockra after their long time lead singer, sax player, and master of funk ceremonies, Jeff Grove, left the band.

Pittsburgh residents will certainly remember Korel's years as a leading light of The 'Burgh's indie rock scene, as co-leader of alt-folk rock sensation "Crisis Car." While maintaining his day job at Hollowood's Music store in McKees Rocks, Korel managed to appear as a guest artist on an enormous list of CDs, steal the show at a fantastic series of singer-songwriter circles, release 2 Crisis Car CDs (still available from CD Baby, both are excellent) and be awarded the title of Pittsburgh's "Artist of the Year" by In Pittsburgh magazine. After such acclaim, it came as no surprise when Korel departed from Western PA for the sunny shores of LA. Pittsburgh's music scene has never been the same. Let's hope he gets major label funding for a solo album in the very, very near future...
