Your uploads

Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kevin Barry (song), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://friendship-village.com/music/E/KevinBarry.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Forgotten Ten

Well done on your contributions to the bio.s on the above. I've done my best to selvage images from deletion, but in some cases the bots got there first. RashersTierney (talk) 00:39, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted Edit

Sorry for jumping in on your own edit. Thought you were on receiving end of anonymous IP attack. RashersTierney (talk) 16:09, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

John Henry Bernard

Funny you should mention the Provost. I've just been sent a set of files (ex Kew) of correspondence between Bernard, LLoyd George and Lord Middleton re. representation of Southern Unionists in Seanad of proposed Free State. Relates to a tangential issue that I'm working on, but fascinating stuff. Behind the scenes negotiations more substantial than I would have thought.RashersTierney (talk) 23:24, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

David McCallum webpages

You can get the individual URLs from each individual page by right-clicking anywhere on a page and opening up the Properties dialog. This contains the Address (URL) which you can copy & paste to use for your references.

Because the David McCallum site may change over time, which you have no control over, another method could be to reference the home page and insert an "Ibid" reference for each subsequent reference.

Aside from that, the McCallum page is be a fansite, rather than an authoritive source of information on the actor, which may not be suitable for an encyclopedia.Janus 19:42, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
