Virugambakkam is in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It's famous for Tamil filmaking and teleserial artists. Once considered to be part of the suburb of Chennai is now a fast growing locality. Many multistorey residential apartments, super markets, malls have sprung up.

Virugambakkam is part of the region called 'Kollywood' denoting the high concentration of movie studios and presence of many people working in the movie industry. Virugambakkam has some of Chennai's biggest movie studios, the most famous of them being, AVM studios and Vijaya studios.

It is the only theatre in this area which has the cube digital facility.Since its located inside a street the traffic becomes messy when a new movie is released.
