Sung-through
Appearance
Sung-through (also through-sung) refers to a musical or opera with little or no spoken dialogue.[1] Conversations, speeches and musings are communicated musically though a combination of recitative, aria and arioso. A few examples of sung-through musicals would be: Rent, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables,[1] Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jekyll & Hyde, and Miss Saigon.[1]
