How to Argue with an Economist: Reopening Political Debate in Australia is a book by Lindy Edwards which is in its second edition as of May 2007. The book explores how economics has become central to our lives, and how ‘economic rationalism’ has influenced Australian politics. It explains in simple terms how this economic worldview overlooks some important social issues and how it transforms Australian culture.[1][2][3]

Lindy Edwards is a former economic adviser in the Australian Prime Minister’s Department.[1]
