"Low Man's Lyric" is the eleventh song from Metallica's seventh studio album, ReLoad. It is a slow ballad following the likes of Nothing Else Matters and Mama Said. The song seems to be about a homeless heroin addict begging for forgiveness from his estranged family before he dies.

The song's demo was named "Mine Eyes" and was recorded on October 30, 1995 at Lars Ulrich's home recording studio "The Dungeon".
