"Halo" is a song by American R&B singer Beyoncé Knowles, released as the fourth single from her third album I Am… Sasha Fierce, along with "Diva".

Background

The song was written by Ryan Tedder and Evan Bogart, and was originally planned for Leona Lewis however her schedule wouldn't have allowed her to record it until 2009, prompting Tedder to pass the song to Knowles.[1]

Music video

The music video was shot in late November and directed by Philip Andelman [2]. The video premiered exclusively on iTunes on December 22, simultaneously with the music video for "Diva".[3] It features actor Michael Ealy as Knowles' love interest.
